Prefer blue based engines? I think not. Well... I\'d rather choose the colour of my engine thrust as well as the colour of the projectile for my cannons. Blue, Orange, yellow, white, green, red, pink, purple.
Kinda strange that 62762973219784 metre cubed blocks can be held in the hands of an astronaut.
There's not so much of a problem in this. One problem is that it's unrealistic (realism not being the main goal of the game) which isn't great. But also it means that players get ludicrus amounts...
Wouldn\'t look so great when ascending/descending. Also you\'d have the problem of people usualy entering the planet in the same area, even if they were to aproach the planet differently. Huge ships would be another big problem... They might chase or colide with their own tail - or get stuck...
These latest textures are terrible. They all look the same.
Learn how to use the mod tools, beatle, you can make new decorational blocks without scheema\'s help
Run lights, wires, bars or pipes down the side of all the guns/engines
make the shield blocks selfiluminating/bright...
I disagree with your first point, but i must say that your base problem could be an issue. I think it could be solved by not curving the base to the terrain and having artificial gravity nulify the effects of the planet\'s gravity.
Simple to suggest. Possibly not as simple to achieve.
1: not all the weapons fire straight forward when you tell them to. Rather you select beacons for each weapon computer to attack, (likely with the option to set multiple beacons to target) Think of the way space battles are fought in...
the currenty variety of lights is far too limited. It saddens me that my exterior and interior decoration is so limited in colour and variety.
I'd realy like to see
- pink lights
- orange lights
- purple lights
- cyan lights
(an RGB system would be pretty cool too)
And then in these...
1: half blocks. A block cut in half. half wedges and corners wouldn't be too bad either. these would be both for metal and terrain
2: (very important) plating. This would be around 1/16th of the hieght (like minecraft's snow). a pannel covering for each touching surface,(it might make an L...
This is amazing. Remember to give stations shields as well as weapons!
Perhaps you should also replace trade stations with space stations that can trade?
Firstly a player should be able to rotate his weaponry. More on this later.
Secondly, a player should be able to put one Computer underneath another computer, or link weapons up to two computers. Perhaps a player might want to use one gun, perhaps the player might want to use every gun...
Ingame you can find abandoned stations. They're nothing more than a mass of resources.
It'd be better if there were 'faction' stations. These would have turrets and strong shields for defense That can't be hard, can it?
One step better: Have these stations spawn ships of the same...
I don\'t think there should be \'races\' with limits to their technology.
The ideal way to do this would be to have shops which sell different items. Shipyards which sell different ships. Whilst they might all have the basics, each would have their own stuff too. I mean one \'group\' might...
Some things i\'d like to see (texture wise, though in some cases there\'s some slight block changes)
(all metals in the various colours available)
-Smooth metal. Maybe with some noise from a detail overlay.
- Smooth metal, only very reflective. (cubemap reflective)
- Dusty metal.
- Rusty...
you\'ve already seen my thread (a dev who reads things! wow). but anyways
- Detail textures (overlays?). fooling the player into thinking that some textures are high res when they aren\'t.
- Different colours for laserbeams/ engine thrust.
- \'Active\' textures for items. Like a gun might...
