It may help against missiles or pulse weaponry. But even that only on big ships.
The only thing that really matters (vs punch through and piercing) is to have 4-5 layers basic hull and a fifth heavy armour once a ship can afford such a thick hull.
Just let factories have a lot of mass if they are imba else (either by high block count required or once the new weight system comes out...)
Stations don't care about mass.
Don't think of plex glass as glass.
think of it as hull which uses nano-lenses to direct light through tiny tunnels to the other side of it, let light mostly ignore most of it's volume (which can be used for stronger materials)
well, that is weird.
I always thought you need "100/DefenseBaseMultiplier" blocks per "DefenseBaseMultiplier" blocks.
This is how punch-through effects calculate %.
DefenseBasePowerConsumption was then consumed per "block*DefenseBaseMultiplier", not per block.
I would suggest making it...
I will add a 20*10*20 metre bee with a thick poison sting :D
To exclusively attack you off-course :P
I will call it bobby-bee queen ^^
Black is a choice, but I don't know if I should make something that looks bright and shiny from the outside black and dark inside.
Diversity is what looks...
When were they ever white? :)
If you mix white and red, do you get pink? or will white be too bright?
Yellow/Green & red = orange?
personally I only want lights to be more ambient, less bright if you look directly into a single plex light.
<DefensiveBasePowerConsumption>300</DefensiveBasePowerConsumption> <!-- Power cost per block per second, % bonus is based on the system/ship mass size ratio -->
<DefensiveBaseMultiplicator>2</DefensiveBaseMultiplicator> <!-- multiplied with effect block count -->...
How about redirecting always 50% of the damage to the ship itself?
And let turrets regenerate the parent's ship's shields with up to 50% of combat-repair excess.
Nothing would be invincible, but players would be more encouraged to not have everything under 1 shield.
Once a turret shield is...
push effect = mega jump?
pull effect = ???
the problem with the stop effect is, that if you are 100% gravity resistant, you also are unable to move afaiui (as far as I understand it).
... which lightening update?
Which other color should I use?
Only white would be brighter, but too much white would ruin the look&feel
I thought of brown, but I already have too many shadows.
It should shine with light effects - that is the key of my interior detailwork
I could use brown...
1st I think we are talking about logic sensors can you define something which is either on/off, no additional information on it's own?
You can already differentiate between ships (4x4 +) and persons by size.
I think we don't inventory sensors before we get logic to interact with the...
As much as I like your idea lxalite, it does not fit into a thread about sensors.
Please post this elsewhere
Please don't comment it with more posts to stay on-topic
But then there will be counters to it.
If you dedicate something to just one purpose you deserve it, as you may easily could build equally efficient destruction ships with other blocks once you get that much energy
Do you see the ironies?
An inexperienced said his work looks boring, then another want to be helpful saying randomness is the key and than this picture!
I would say that not-pure-flat walls, colors or diversity are the key.
A station needs RP features - I just hope this (btw really good...
