Hi!
In your vids - there were some instances where you alluded to direct communication to "the devs" - i am guessing calbiri here... what is up with that?
Hi!
You kept relatively quiet here, especially compared to your well deserved fame as a ship creator... so i have a lot of questions:
What are your thoughts on the current balancing?
In your eyes, what are the 5 worst things currently in Starmade?
What balance-change/implementation/suggestion...
That actually makes a lot of sense, a turret (maybe consisting of 2 or more sub-entities) would need a core though as it has to be independently controlled by a player or an ai (there has to be a way though to control the barrel... weapons computer maybe).
That would also ease the balancing of...
Well thought out, i completely agree.
A small thing i would add to that is the suggesting that deactivating a turrets ai resets the turret to its initial facing (so retractable turrets are actually a possibility). Depending on how well the collision system works (as far as i have seen it, it...
So i have been infected by the latest turret hype... as this makes building new and refitting old ships somewhat unsatisfying all i am doing now in Starmade is looking through the community content catalog, downloading ships and taking a stroll through them (if anyone has or knows of a must see...
Yes. The accuracy would be solely depending on the weapon system, removing the need for an inaccurate AI and so making sniper turrets more viable while ciws turrets more or less stay the same and having a small balancing effect on player used weaponry (core drilling gets harder for instance).
instead of cutting down the range of rapid fire guns i would prefer to give faster firing weapons a lower accuracy ...but that would also need an AI redo. That would also cure the sadness that is an AI using a sniper cannon.
This is getting very interesting.
Really appreciate that you phase out the old docking system instead of killing it outright!
Also: good job Bench with the dev blogs!
Renewed the crystals on the ship and the docked entities.
Some small alterations (logic systems now more in line with my newer ships, a few system adjustments).
One very easy solution would be that you use the replace tool, replace salvage modules with salvage modules while you have the cpu selected. Also you could just build a wall of salvage modules in front, connecting all modules together, then link them and remove the wall again.
Remembering how bad the last few major discussions (e.g. at every bigger balance change) went and after reading this i think it would be really sad if this is going to regress to a mere popularity contest.
There is no denying that there are quite some conflicts laying dormant in the community...
If it were that bad as you imply then the council idea is doomed from the start, better get it out there in a civilized manner before things get worse because of an contest election that is bound to incite drama.
