      The EE2 Project

I'd personally change beams to suck less against armor, but the problem of them simply not being capable of penetrating armored blocks in the first place appears to be hardcoded.

      Croudsourcing Systems Proportions

There is no "perfect ship design" proportion or ratio, I've found. It depends on what kind of ship role you're looking for. I, personally, though, will build the power system first, then make a gun that takes up 80% or so of it to fire, then add in thrust and shielding. Shields are a very low...

StarSide Blood and Steel: Season 2

Just so you know, Thryn predominantly uses basic hull with lower shielding and kicks the shit out of people using thick advanced armor. The armor type doesn't really make a huge difference after you get above the 5000 block point. I just want to see people have the option to not use what are...

      The EE2 Project

Power usage and such are not being touched, but weapon damage is, I think. Very custom config, but it's not going to break ships going or coming.

Can the devs give us an official ruling on PS transfer

It's already balanced out as 10 energy per 1 damage and 10 energy per 1 shield. As it stands, a ship that focuses heavily on shield recharge can defeat a ship of equal size that focuses heavily on machineguns.

Can the devs give us an official ruling on PS transfer

That's because damage was doubled. Also, the pirates have always been broken.

Can the devs give us an official ruling on PS transfer

The power requirements on weapons have been the same for months, if not years. 10 energy per point of damage has been the base setting for a very long time.

      Greifing or Legitimate Strategy?

"Unhealthy gameplay"? You mean like every single other combat related thing in the game?

      Greifing or Legitimate Strategy?

You seem to be under the assumption that because he disagrees strongly, he must not understand what you're talking about. Have you considered that he might just disagree because he disagrees?

      Advanced Build mode Suggestions

That could work, though there would need to be limits in place for it beyond just that. Some sort of cap on image uploads per day/week/whatever.

      Advanced Build mode Suggestions

Image uploading would get out of hand very, very quickly. I can guarantee that within the first hour of the feature being online, someone would spam porn all over a major server's spawn area.

      restoring an autosave file

Minecraft features item drop on death and no "backup save file" feature. Many other games do too. Their sales have, despite this, not gone down at all.

      Forum Suggestions: On Council Conduct

Pointing out that somebody is wrong about something or is lying about something is not "cyber bullying" no matter how you try to frame it. To claim that it is, falsely, is clearly an attempt at stirring up drama to garner views. Of course, trying to stir up drama has the unfortunate side effect...

      Juicy version of Default

Honestly, that orange is way too thick. Tone the orange down specifically to be just a bit thicker than default and it'll be fine.

Account Security / Password change page missing?

self explanatory title I mouseover my username in the top right corner, and "Password" is listed as an option for a page I can click on. However, when I try to access that page, I get routed to an account page that obviously doesn't exist - it's just the account management sidebar in the middle...

      Greifing or Legitimate Strategy?

If you don't want your shit destroyed, dock it to homebase or hide it. If you're offline and they find an unaccompanied vessel of yours, then don't be surprised or scream "GRIEFING" when they blast through its doors with warheads (faster than torching - trust me on this) and take it off your...

Star Trek / Low Profile Turrets?

The higher you want your turret elevation to be, the less space efficient your turret is going to be. Unlike with surface mount turrets, with low profile turrets, high gun elevation means drastically lowered firepower. Keep in mind that with these turret designs, you need to shave the very...

      Low Profile Medium Turret 2015-10-14

This turret design gets the job done, and doesn't clutter up the hull of your ship too badly, though it may be difficult to find space for it under your hull. You'll need at least a 53x53 cylindrical hole under the hull to mount the turret in. The under-hull portion of the turret is a 51x51x15...

What happened to the PvP scene?

Aye. That's my thinking as well. Or they can use a jumpdrive specialist ship that overpowers inhibitors. None of this silly "poke them with a stick and run away before they smack you" crap, though. Seriously though, a universe as big as it is needs proper trade hubs and such away from spawn...
