      missile/pulse/piercing for raw power and hull busting potential, but missile/beam/piercing is more reliable on account of not being incredibly slow and easy to shoot down.

      I recommend balancing punch and pierce cannons/beams a little bit more so that, perhaps, punch does more armor HP damage and pierce bypasses more armor value, just like with missiles, or something.

      Hm, perhaps. Problem is, the other solutions require that either schema gets over his fear of complex GUIs, or the players themselves collectively focus hundreds of hours into solving a problem that shouldn't exist in the first place.

      You don't dock it to the homebase. Simple as that. You park it somewhere in the middle of nowhere, because that's safer than the homebase is.

      This hasn't happened to us, personally, on account of Thryn just plain-old not recruiting anyone who isn't more or less guaranteed to be competent, self sufficient, and not-a-saboteur. But anybody who just wants to have fun with the game is at risk, and indeed, I've seen at least a few people...

      The wiki, in this case, is wildly inaccurate, and whoever made that change needs to take a lava block to the head. Also, Overdrive does 3x damage at the cost of using 6x energy.

      everyone and his brother knows how to counter AMS, and AMS doesn't shoot down every missile. Trust me, I've tried AMS/PD spam, and it didn't help much.
