This is something I've wanted for a long time too.
The registry should already have the particular game server detail since the auth request is coming from there.
All it needs is additional data collection for user, server and faction stats. Then you could build a bunch of auth based connectio...
I tried to get the brass/copper look using the orange. Doesn't quite work completely, but it will do.
I have a bigger one in mind. I could do that with that one. There's also a smaller one that has the same look as this one, but the tanks just don't look right.
I'm not that great at turrets, but I've built this for a bigger project of mine. What you think? It's just an empty shell at the moment and I have a little more detailing I'd like to do. So this it so far. Hope it's worthy of this thread.
I can see where you're coming from and it's absolutely logical. I think it might still be possible to do most of what you want.
What came to mind for me was continue to produce the block using the factories, but when producing the other shapes have the excess converted to Mesh/Crystal composit...
I forgot the mention this earlier and don't know if it's a bug to log with the phabricator.
The Advanced Build mode, I use the build helpers a lot with the option to "restrict building to helper". But when I have the symmetry planes turned on there is no symmetry duplication happening. I don't...
Yeah, when I can hear my coffee it's usually in the midst of exploration. It says things like, "Go on.. shoot that station. What could possibly go wrong?" and I'm like, *gulp gulp gulp* "Take that coffee! I'm not going through that again."
There's nothing stopping a player from building such things on servers. I fill ships with cargo and leave them floating in random sectors.
Nobody has stumbled onto them yet. :-)
Sounds very similar to another game with ancient artifacts on planets that you can find and use. ;-)
However, I do like the idea of slaving something rare to get another result from existing computers.
I've posted this somewhere before in the midst of another suggestion.
When salvaging derelict stations or anything derelict as an astronaut, can you make it so we can salvage the actual block instead of scrap, but only if the particular block is undamaged?
This would be tedious, but more...
This idea is pretty simple.
Have a block that we can place anywhere to spawn NPC creatures.
The creatures would spawn from and in the vacinity of the spawn block.
It's pretty much like the undeathinator, but purely for spawning creature NPCs.
This block would be configurable like a BobbyAI...
I like the idea of having different power supply levels that are more difficult to obtain the higher you go. Perhaps this could still be achieved using the existing, possibly the new power mechanics or a combination of both. This would allow for existing designs to remain functional and the new...
As for making mining interesting, I tend to make my own fun using what's already in the game.
The idea of something special in the asteroid appeals to me along with more types resources of varying degrees in the asteroids.
I wish there was more that could be done at the astronaut level...
Nice suggestion. Control from the hotbar or similar would be awesome! Perhaps an interface like the Crew control, but for AI.
Then you could easily manage everything while in flight without having to stop somewhere safe to then get out and manually change things one at a time in astronaut mode.
Lol.
I saw somebody trying to push an asteroid into a wormhole the other day. Now that would be a laugh! Asteroids flying through the galaxy at ludicrous speeds. :-)
