Seem to me this is a very hot topic with passionate views on both sides of the coin. Why not just meet in the middle and make it configurable in the config files.
I disagree with this. I like the idea of being able to transport on the same entity. While I can see your concerns about boarding parties on large stations this would be most helpful. Even on large ships this would be helpful. We should be able to find some way to balance this. I'm not sure what...
This seems like a really good idea. I like the idea of docking a salvage/mining ship to a station and transporting the cargo to the holds of the station.
Brilliant!
Please forgive my blasphemy their is no excuse.
I do have a question. It seemed last night when I logged in to my server the docked power supplies on my station weren't transferring power and I saw the beams going threw the station. Is this a known issue or has something changed with docked...
The problem I see right now is the non-renewing resources. If the ability to continue to have resources refreshed isn't added then buying a filled in blueprint isn't as much of an issue for me. If the resources will be renewing then mining and scavenging is the way to go.
Sounds a lot like the Goa'uld with the undeathinator being the sarcophagus. I could see this working. Of course we would want to customize the lore to something fresh and new.
Actually both. For instance if you're using the USD which has a camera built in naming the camera would be nice to know you're looking out the camera you want. But yes naming the dockers is needed as well to differentiate on the hot bar.
I would also like to designate a space for airlock with direction of inside and outside. This could be used for spacing something and getting the physics to pull something out into the vacuum of space.
Agreed. Doesn't matter if its a mob drop or you have to fight your way to the "chest of loot" some kind of reward needs to be present; otherwise people would simply avoid them.
OK this is a very good idea. It makes a lot of sense that if a character is aligned to a ship that they wouldn't be visible with out scanners of some kind.
I think the main thing they are trying to avoid is a loading screen of some sort. As another dimension would most likely need. However what about some sort of phased approach like WoW. When in hyperspace "phase" the physics would be different. You couldn't interact with normal space but your...
