The joke was intentionally bad... the ": P" emote and the " :p " emote are two different things; I was going for the first and accidentally got the second.
Ehhhhhhhhh... I like the idea, but it has to stay contained somehow. Perhaps it can only spread when tripped/"activated" somehow, and onto planets that meet certain requirements.
Woo, infinite diversity (And apparently customization support) in infinite combinations... I'll tool around with the build some more, and post a bit more feedback soon!
(Btw, the Beam with a Pulse slave system causes a crash... is the effect not implemented yet? Dunno about other ones yet)...
Weapon computers already work that way. Problem is, there isn't really any advantage to having people in them. There is, of course, also the fact that there's no visual difference between an empty bridge and one with people in it - you can't control anything without making your player disappear...
Aside from exploding consoles (which is probably one of the silliest things in Star Trek), I'd like to see all of this stuff. Not to mention the player/captain getting a seat rather than just getting sucked into the computer core.
I fail to see how the game is "too buggy..." About the worst things you can encounter are chunk errors (Reloading the sector fixes this, I think the command is Tab-F5 or Tab-F6 or something) and slightly silly lighting glitches (aren't that serious, but some can be fixed by switching off...
Exactly, Blodge. Lucky hit, and you have a chance to get the hell outta there. Full assault targeting your bridge, and you're screwed, as it should be.
I'm not a fan of large, unmanned ships flying far by AI... I proposed an autotravel suggestion as part of my larger idea thread, but it required at least one player to be onboard:
I understand, Rece, but IIRC, part of his progress-log-thing stated that he did some optimization that's "mostly for big ships." I have no idea what his idea of "big" is, but if it's anything like the community's idea of "big," it's probably not what I'd put very high up on my list of priorities...
I know what you mean, but... Didn't Minecraft take a long time (Since the first released version of Classic) to have even half of the amount of features Starmade has?
Agreed...
A mining/crafting revamp is planned, and coming "soon"... :\
Incorrect parts are marked in bold. Technically, the...
Ehh, I'd assume that it's primarily just due to some some fans attracted by the Yogscast leaving, as well as just conjecture from how slow updates have been, most likely... Personally, though the update speed can get a biiiit annoying sometimes, it actually has a significant upside - Generally...
Judging from the fact that last time you said that, we suddenly got an announcement a week later that we were getting dodecahedron planets, I think that now is most likely a good time to go "YAY!"
If a system you suggest for Starmade isn't scalable, the solution to the balance isn't to impose an artificial limit.
In this case, just give Auxiliary Cores either a ton of mass, or a certain amount of constant energy drain per block.
