      It seems that it's bugged at the moment, unless I was just doing something wrong. But, yes, left click is supposed to activate things (or close doors, I guess) and right click is supposed to turn things off (or open doors).

      Huge piles of ships is only used currently because ship-size balancing doesn't seem to work/be linear. A large swarm of tiny drones seems to be more effective than, say, a group of three corvette-ish-sized ships built using the same blocks.

      Accounting for missed shots requires numbers that "feel right," which isn't exact mathematical balancing anyway.

      It does attempt to lead shots - including on beams, resulting in lots of missing. This is a bug and will be fixed, though.
