      Yeah, that and now Salvage/Missile, in addition to being ugly and relatively slow at salvaging, isn't even constant... IMO, that system should be reverted anyway, but eh.

      Yes, it is survive and build... But surviving doesn't mean much more than getting the biggest guns possible and sitting at your base. There's no need or even reason to expand much, or PvP, or even PvE... Once you have defenses you can just sit and build until your hand falls off or your mouse...

      There would be no tradeoff. All it would be is a trivially-small extra system installed on the front of your ship to distract point defense while the real missiles go to work.

      Yeah, it was originally while the UI was being tested; the testers could set it to SECRET = newgui and get the in-progress UI. It might be reused later, or might have been, but now this topic exists so maybe not.

      It'll stop at the edge of the loaded sectors, so I suppose if you leave for a while, come back, and get someone to fly you in the direction the fighter was going you'll get it back. Better yet, if you've got a core, just float on over there yourself.
