      There is a reason I have not spent any time refitting ships until a proper balance has been established with all the new systems. We will have a new filter removal option before this becomes an issue of replacing blocks. I'm not sure what you classify as a fighter but the new shield system...

      Shields are being split into two blocks, regen and storage much like power. If you want high capacity you'll have to sacrifice regen and vice versa. The biggest problem is every current ship will drop to having 5000 shields with insane regen unless they decide to invert what block does what...

      It's fixed in the devbuild, hopefully it will be released soon. As far as I know it only applies to weapons with no effects so you could try adding a small effect to your gun to see if that works.

      Yes and turrets typically won't be as strong as the base station, unless you build a station that has turrets as big as itself. It still doesn't matter because combat regen is so high that only massive ships will be able to kill it so "shoot it until it is death station" does not even apply.
