The biggest problem here is people are comparing the old system they are used to to the new system.
Takes to much power? Well before it took to little power and was unbalanced/ way to easy to create planet eating ships
Eats to slowly? Add longer arrays
Don't like that it salvages in bursts...
The Faction Block is all you need to break in order to neutralize a pirate station. Some of the stations have heavy shields and hard to find faction blocks so this is no small task.
I need to light a fire under my posterior and put some more videos together, I recorded one five or six times already and it hasn't been up to par yet.
Not to mention the fact that the missiles fired from alpha are invisible unless you are in the same sector as it. Which if you are a new player you are probably not running straight for a pirate station.
We also really need a new feature to be added. When a missile is fired at you there needs...
Servers can already set up how many credits a player starts with and making a spawn shop have a full inventory isn't that big of a problem so what your talking about seems more of a server problem and not a game problem. It should be up to the servers if they want to be noob friendly or not...
I'm more leaning for the "we need another way to either obtain stations or money for stations" I have a survival universe. I only craft what I need for my ships/home base and I have nothing I am willing to sell because I might be shooting myself in the foot later when I want to craft...
It's also not known to all that there is no dimensional bonus until you have a reactor at least 9 long. 8 individual reactors is better than any combination where any two or more of those 8 reactors touch. This only really matters though if you build tiny ships, which most people don't.
From what I understand is that AI will maintain a lock on you if you activate the jammer once targeted. Turrets will also shoot at you when you are jamming but they have a huge penalty to accuracy.
I know on at least on of the occasions I was killed by the hulk missile my jamming system had...
Seeing as how the rail system will probably be an extension of the current dock system I imagine it's more a method to move docked entities around, possibly from one docking module to another.
Seeing as how this doesn't try to force any "this is a frigate, this is a destroyer, this is a cruiser" on you I can't say I have any objections to this system, all it does is add very basic massed based additions to your naming conventions/ descriptions and a way to have a basic comparison...
Let me check.
Deletes server.cfg
updates game to latest version
runs game to create new server.cfg
checks
MISSILE_DEFENSE_FRIENDLY_FIRE = true //can shoot down own or missiles from own faction
It is in fact still set to default to on. Somebody had to have changed it.
I hope the rail system works with logic and has destinations that when activated will basically call the rail to it, then we can finally have real elevators on ships.
Setting it to high and placing to many blocks may cause issues. I can place 50x50x50 cubes of hull but I had to go grab a sandwich while the computer catches up.
