Just think of setting up a mass storage system, I would absolutely hate to have to acquire the blocks I plan to store before I need to store them. There are more block types that can fit in our inventory and a check list would be much easier in the long run then having to manually place blocks...

There's a bug that stops activators from being triggered when an entity is docked. Currently they only trigger when moving from one rail to another or completing a rotation.
Yeah, I would much rather see a collapsible list by category with check mark mark system than having to have the items to be able to tell a chest to pull the items.
The ability to fly ships while in a turret would be a great addition to this as well. I've done it with tab+f8 before and it is really nice... I have to try it again with the new turret system... I'm going to go do that now
While I can't wait for jet-packs the amount of thrust needed to be added to a core would probably insubstantial on every ship other than a skid racer. Hell even then it may be enough that they won't need thrusters. We used to be able to escape gravity with a core but now it seems the effects...
Currently no. Logic activation when enemies are near is a requested feature as well as the ability to activate and deactivate turret AI. You can, however, use rails to build turrets that extend from the hull and using the structure tab re-center them before you retract them but it all has to...
I'd say go with what feels right. If a turret looks odd because it's to large or too small build a new one. As for being anti fighter cannon+cannon or missile + beam are probably your best bet. Well everybody pretty much goes missile unless they have lore reasons not to.
