i guess andy got confused there and did assume your Laptop (?wild guess?) has also a nvidia gpu as second one.
have you manualy checked on intels webpage for the latest drivers ? Ih ave heared that the automatic updates do not deliver the latest driver packs.

Found a faction and place a faction block on your ship.
Enter the faction block and set its faction signature.
Do not invite your girlfriend to your faction and it is save ..... as long as no one uses weapons to change that ;)
are you able to open http://files.star-made.org/build on your laptop in a browser window?
are you using launcher version 15 ?
it sounds more like your laptop gets blocked from accessing that server somehow
unelsson ... your system is by the look and specs of it not able to run SP Starmade. The Server alone may use up all the 2GB of your RAM to run without even starting the Game Client. Sorry to tell you that. Try to stick with multiplayer instead.
Are you running a 64bit operating system ? if so...
did you tried to runn it from a not otherwise protected folder ?
make on on your harddrive, put the starmade starter in there and put a link on the desktop and then try again to update and start the game with a fresh install
Where does that happen?
Local single player or a MP server somewhere?
If singleplayer, try /force_save (not sure about the syntax here!) before logout.
If singleplayer, where did you run the game from? (Install location)
Can you faction and claim a system and then logout and upload the log file...
If true than that is a weird bug we have to look into !
Are you sure he did use the right name ? it is casesensitive "Gamer" is a different player than "gAMER" for example!
When you did not had an uplinked acount when you did start playing with that username on that specific server than someone else with an uplinked account could grab the user from you, and prevent you from login in again with it.
Serverplayername and Accountname are independent from each other...
Crash the game again with the ship and upload the log.txt.0 file (newest timestamp) from your logs folder in the Starmade install here.
That may contain useful information.
What is your OS?
What is your GPU?
How much memory did you allocate in the Starmade Laucher (Options->Memory Settings)?

and activate under the Java Tab in java runtime env the 64 bit version only

Where exactly do you get kicked out? ... are you getting on the screen with % count in the upper left corner ?
If so please upload the newest log.txt.x (usually the .0 one) from the logs folder inside your starmade install folder here.

and Avast is "not" identifying the Starmade launcher as malicious for me. Did you change the basic detection settings? So it may identify anything java with netaccess as malicious ?
Server is working fine for me.
In case of a wrong Version you wouldnt even get to the "Spawn" button!
Is it working now ? If not provide the log.txt.x file from the last failed spawn atempt
Move the settings.cfg from your SM folder and start the game with default settings and look if that changes it.
Change the VBO Bulk mode settings on/off and mem size as tests
Dol Orh'Ant ... are you running the game in SP? have you seen the same issues in Multiplayer? Make sure Shadows and AA is off. Also try to toggle Occlusion Culling to see if it makes a difference. Are you using bigger Planets (Planet size is the R rating ina PLantes name) ?
