Update: No dice, using the /save command on an asteroid does not result in a viable blueprint file to convert with.

The proceduraly generated asteroids have a look that would be quite difficult to replicate at full scale by hand. Well I'm assuming that if you can save the blueprint and run it through the converter to make a station out of it, then you could simply copy/paste it from the station build mode...
