Really? You don't want to use teleporters to move about huge stations and ships? It's quite possible that moving between teleporters is going to be as simple as accessing the computer, pointing where you want to teleport and going. It's on the same entity so it doesn't need the restrictions...
No worries, I know my older ships are a little bland, I'm still learning and developing my style. I'm not where I want to be in terms of skill yet but I am quite happy with how far I've come looking at the older ships.
I never cycle because it's so broken, I eject and tabF8 exclusively to switch between entities. A way to do this while in an entity without admin powers would be very much appreciated!
I believe this has been suggested before, I believe kupu even may have said he would look into it. The biggest problem I see is orientation. They would have to be visually generic so if they are used as you have it the look good as well as if they were placed flat on floor or ceiling.
I would support a per ship based setting, this at least solves some issues for if it does become an issue you can turn off the pipes and it does apply to everybody viewing the ship and not just you. It would be weird to be on an MP server and see a ship with pipes everywhere while the pilot...
As far as I am aware every single effect/cloak/radar jam/thruster/jump drive/scanner is based on mass not volume.
I am really curious how big your logic systems are that the pipes alone can bring your computer to a crawl?
If you are that worried about keeping your effect systems running on your ship why are you using logic in the first place? They offer no combat benefits unless used as logic heat seekers. Also the fact that logic blocks weigh less than other blocks adding them to your ship in place of hull or...
That's the circuit for my standard airlock design, it fits in a 9x5x5 space and none of the pipes are visible in the final product. The only thing you can see that you are not supposed to are the two activators next to the docking blocks as that's the only way to check when docked or if...
I'm really looking forward to the day Starmade universes have some actual life in them and not just random lifeless AI driven mobs. Adding some 4x mechanics into the game would prove interesting. I love the idea of having my planets and stations being populated.
I love this idea as it would allow you to create 100% modular station designs where all you need is the central core be a station and everything else can be docked modules.
On the other hand I still fully support being able to use shipyards and factories on ships themselves with some...
I've noticed some funny behavior with shields last night.
I was doing some target practice on some Isanth Zeros last night. I was testing a cloaker designed to fire two missiles before recloaking. If the Isanths were at full shields the first missile would hit, knock the shields out and deal...
