      Currently refitting the reactors. At 35fps it's painful (on my laptop), but I'm getting there! I'm probably going to have to change the layout of the reactor room because one it's corners gets uncomfortably close to the exterior. Basically, I'm working on this thing again.

      Yes and no. Is the range of beams too limited? Maybe. However, you have to keep in mind that beams are hit-scan, meaning that it's possible to place a lot more accurate shots on target than with cannons. If you can aim well you'll basically be missing a lot less with beams than with cannons...

      Chunks not saving happens extremely rarely, as unfortunate as it is. I suggest that you make blueprint backups to avoid issues (always make backups). At least it's just raw systems (and in a straight line at that), it's not like you had hull or anything around it, so it shouldn't take too long...

      I'm saying armor layers outside AND inside of it (weaved into it). Nowhere did I mention that it'd be docked, that'd produce more lag than docked reactors.
