That would seem to require you to install a teleporter and power generation inside your body, since Starmade transporters appear to only beam between other transporters or one way, from a transporter to an open space.
It's not going to change who wins and loses, the whole "appearance" thing. At least, it didn't last year. That was all combat. It's just to keep basic, undetailed geometric shapes from entering.
Last Blood and Steel had two teams squaring off at a time. I presume this one would be the same.
As for you reading the description... I doubt it, or you would have seen that aesthetics do matter to some extent!
I'd like heavy automated farming machinery designed for stations/planets (but could be put on ships) to allow full automation on stationary objects and limited travel time on the majority of ships.
Speaking of station/planet equipment that's very heavy but still allowed on ships- Factories and...
The problem is not that people need to build new designs for this- that's to be expected since the general weapon meta has shifted anyway. The problem is that an entire type of defense (Armor tanking) is not really viable with a mass limit instead of a block limit because advanced weighs so...
You guys are overthinking this. Disarm a small enemy ship (drone/shuttle), put it in a shielded box, and let your crew fire at it. I doubt they'll gain XP from a weapon they aren't firing themselves.
I think training academies for NPCs would actually be pretty cool. Makes sense, too. Most armies train their soldiers in a safe location, not in a trial by fire in combat (unless you're WW2 Russia...).
They'll still work in the same way that pre-weapon update ships still work. Technically, but do you really want to use something that outdated and ineffective compared to more modern craft?
You know, I just remembered that the NFD competition had 3k BLOCKS as the limit for fighters, not 3k MASS. A 3k mass ship with no limits on weapon types should have no problem taking on another one.
The game should not force people to build in too specific a way- this limits people, and reduces (not improves) the aesthetic possibilities of the game.
Completely, utterly false. There is a massive amount of ship specialization. And why exactly are people being unable to show up on their own...
Hell, the only reason we even won was because the spawn station protected our last ship from the swarmers. He steamrolled our other two Corsairs, our Siphlid carrier, and all our drones.
