      Well it still requires you to stop and build more complicated devices to accomplish the goal, which means you actually have to have some pre-planning and skill to pull it off. As opposed to newbies just building a huge things with no regards to anything.

      All of my main offensive turrets are set to Any, they do not target stations, ever. They will target turrets on stations, but once the turrets are down, my warship can sit next to a neutered but otherwise active pirate station all day and the turrets will never fire a shot.

      Its an alpha. If you aren't willing to deal with bugs, massive design changes, and constant wipes, you shouldn't be playing. Heck, if you aren't willing to deal with that, you shouldn't be playing a beta either. Stick to 100% polished and released games.
