No .. you do need two installs (via changing the install path in the game launcher) to play release and Dev Versions.
other than that there isnt a problem with having more than one game version around.
the official testserver runs the latest dev builds (that is if someone had time to update...

did you use the turrets docker to undock or the button from the shipyard would be my last question for now ?

maybe the folder name to the ships entity name in the data folder works .. hadnt had the time to check that

where did you use a blueprint and for what?
where did you use a design and how?
did you place any blocks by hand while docked to the shipyard anchor?
yeah .. the day only has 48 hours .. or something like that i hink.
and depending on the availability of testers from different timezones and despite the hours and hours of them testing ... we even found a glitch for the 19401 hotfix basically seconds AFTER the release.

It is intended to only work from within core/build block build mode.
are there any blocks that should have been able to connect through Shift+v in build mode as a group that are no longer be able to be linked in that fashion ?
because the data content doesnt match the folders name ... and does look as if someone had copyied an entity file into that folder.
the Blueprint is corrupted or not build to game rules and gets rejected ... something like that. it gets moved to the folder blueprints-fileerror

I do use a Win7 system and a qwertz layout (as most of us germans i guess ;) ) so .. really no idea.

Sorry my stupid question i have no plan how that works in Linux
first remove keyboard.cfg from your starmade folder (just move it out of there) and restart the game to see if it works with the default settings from the new keyboard .cfg.
if it does then put your keyboard.cfg in the bugreport along with a Log.txt.0 file from the logs folder from a gamesession...
go to the options menu and put the keybinding on another free key and then try again.
we had a few problems of Linux/Mac keybindings screwing up in someway.
if that is the case we have to see if that is already reported .
(and make sure you havnt made a double keybinding for some reason)
did you check the games resolution settings ?
could it be that it is set to a to high value that pushes the hotbar out of the viewable area ?
if thats ok .. just remove everything from the starmade install exceptthe folders blueprint and server-databse. then let the launcher install the game again
very strange indeed ... because that is exactly what i did try first after your description and it did work without a problem
directly from creative inventory to storage on a ship ... the hotbar isnt save to copy to afaik .. there was a bug
i use pictures of ships from tv shows (so far i made the incredible amount of two ?) .. and try to replicate them manually as good as i can.
and then fill in every spot i couldnt find a clear shot from with my own ideas ^^
we know ... sadly ... its not happening for Schema on his Nvidia GPU.
He tried to fix it based on a guess. And no tester was able to verify that it was still broken.
So yeah ... search continues for that.
