      Tells me you don't understand what I meant. If you have 24 smaller ones, you can only use 6 because of heat. It's not about how much area you have for guns, but how much area the guns you can use occupy on your ship.

      My argument is that the attackers always have the advantage, because they wouldn't attack if they had not. They can equip weapons against the strategy you chose. If you have guns against big enemies, they swarm you. If your weapons are against swarmers, expect a frontal-assault ship or snipers...

      Stations might be too fragile to resist the acceleration force from thrusters. Would you try to fly combat maneuvers with a Capitals/Deathstar (moon-sized)? I just don't want to require a moon-sized ship before it gets capital-properties which allows them to only use jump-drives.
