Faction/Personal permissions update = Stolen homebases?

Yes, that's the issue this entire thread is covering. However, personalizing a ship that's DOCKED TO THE HB will only personalize it (and anything docked to it), and NOT the HB. It's a pointless addition, preventing setting personal on something docked to a HB.

Faction/Personal permissions update = Stolen homebases?

What snowball effect? You're not making any sense. What are you trying to prevent here?

I think I linked that one in chat or in threads at least two dozen times, just on my own.

Faction/Personal permissions update = Stolen homebases?

No, I understood what you were saying. It just doesn't make any sense. Why shouldn't people be able to set their ship to personal then they're docked to the HB?

Is there any reason to build small ships?

Personally, I've found beams and missiles to be the most effective against small ships. They're too agile to take down with cannons. Missiles meaning missile/beam, specifically. Swarmers can be outrun by fighters.

Faction/Personal permissions update = Stolen homebases?

What? That doesn't make any sense. You can do that. They're called faction permission modules. Have you actually tested this? Because it won't always work. Area triggers are unreliable at best.

Faction/Personal permissions update = Stolen homebases?

I think you've completely misunderstood this post. Faction Modules (NOT faction PERMISSION modules) have a setting that allows you to lock a ship to a specific rank, or to personal, which means only the person who set it can use it. If a faction wants people to be able to use all the doors and...

Is there any reason to build small ships?

Well, you'd generally be using two different fleets on those servers anyway, so I'm not sure why it matters. Considering how the default beam range is 2.5km (0.5x sector size), I'm going to go out on a limb and say there are VERY FEW ships that are larger than the range of the beams.

Is there any reason to build small ships?

Any server with a mandatory class system (that isn't a customized RP server) is a bad server.

Why agriculture should be a thing

I'd like it if food was a necessity for NPCs, but not players, because having to stop every 5 minutes to eat is annoying. I'd also like if we avoided potion-like buffs for players. They aren't "optional," they become a necessity. Just look at Minecraft PvP. Everyone just takes the most powerful...

Good idea. They war dec a lot of people for no reason (Thryn and TNT have both been war dec'd by them)

Is there any reason to build small ships?

Crew quarter size can vary massively between ships, though, and this isn't even a real system in the game yet. In order of most to least usefulness of classifying ships... Block count, mass, dimensions, crew capabilities.

Where did all the playerbase and faction fun go?

There haven't been any major combat exploits that saw use in faction warfare since the overdrive bug. Sure, there was the shield drain beam bug, but afaik that never saw use between any major factions.

      New-(More useful)- pulse weapon.

How so? Pulse/Pulse would have standard range like the other reworked pulses. Congrats on not actually reading, genius. Way to ad-hominem.

Is there any reason to build small ships?

I'm almost 100% sure the devs have no plans to massively limit players ability to mine by doing something as moronic as this. This classification system doesn't really say anything about the actual size of a craft, which is the most important part of a size-based classification system.
