      Tertiary Slots on Computers.

Tertiary systems work pretty much the same as secondary systems, only they add... well... a third effect. Tertiary Overdrive increases the damage of the weapon by up to 3x (while increasing power used by up to 6x). Push/Pull/Stop turns the weapon damage into a tractor beam. Explosive...

      Hull Temperature Display

Okay, I know we have a heat map that helps define where asteroids spawn, and I know that there is a zone around each star that is defined as damaging, so is there any way we could use some of this information to display hull temperature on the display? Objective of this would be: 1) Knowing...

What blocks do you use as decorations?

Try making the white slab 1/2 and you'll have a raised pillow for your beds. I like using Damage Beams as force field "generators". Wherever I have a blue force field door, I line the edges in the walls/floors with beam modules. The blue conduit in the middle of the block matches the force...

Since when did stars shoot missiles?

I'd much appreciate it if there were simple things like a meter showing hull temperature (aka, how close you are to taking heat damage) and maybe a warning system for "This jump will take you too close to a star, do you want to jump anyway?".

      Dev Blog : July 28th 2016

Because the bigger the chunks, the bigger the file size, and the more difficult it is to handle. Think of it like bringing in bags of groceries. Assume you have a car full of food you just bought, and you can only take one bag into the house at a time. If you have small bags that can only...

Shortest explanation is that each chunk is counted as a distinct object in the code. So when the engine has to draw your ship, its not going "Okay, this is one ship with 4 turrets, thats 5 things to draw", its going "Okay, this ship is 4 turrets at 2 chunks each, thats 8 chunks. The ship...

      Stairs and more shape blocks

Whoops, you're right. I said the wrong thing. I don't have the quote handy, I didn't bookmark it or anything, but I definitely saw them saying that the limited block IDs were no longer an issue. Anyone else have that handy?

      Pirates VS Griefers

It also really helps when people turn off the rail for a docked reactor. Last I checked, a single rail block will still preform the checks and try to move the docked entity even when there is nowhere to move it to (because it has to move if you put another rail down in front of it). Which...

      Stairs and more shape blocks

Why would there be 16 different shapes? Its basic stairs, its one shape. Each block ID already has facing built into it. Its 10 colors for 3 types (basic, standard, hardened). Its 30 new block IDs, not 640. And they've already said that they've redone the block config so that limited IDs is...

      Suggested Pirates are too easy.

Well, the main problem for this is the same as for servers with custom pirates. If they are tough enough to be entertaining for the established players, then they are so strong that they walk all over new players. It is not fun at all to try and get started on a server who's pirates are built...

Planned More Rail Dockers: Ship, Turret, and Ship Part.

There is no good reason for having multiple colored hulls, multiple colored lights, slabs, decorative panels, etc. None of that is required for the game. Just because you don't see the benefit of a decorative or stylistic element doesn't mean it doesn't have one.

      Remember Gravity After Logout

Gravity as a whole needs another pass. As is, when on a planet starting up I dock a core to the ground so that I can jump in and out of it to turn off planetary gravity so I can fly up onto my defense tower to work on my turrets.

      Massive Memory Leak?

Hope so, game is unplayable for me for more than a couple of minutes at a time right now.

      The look of true disappointment.

Well Lukrah asteroids have ALWAYS had a big worthless center of red dirt covered by a thin layer of semi-useful stone.

      Massive Memory Leak?

It looks like we've got a memory leak on our hands after the patch. After the patch, I'm able to play normally right after starting the game, but my FPS drops steadily until I'm slideshowing. If I close the game completely and bring it back up, everything is fine for another 10 minutes or so...

      Beta Launcher: Auto-Update Notice

I'm on the beta launcher, everything looked good until I tried to log into the server and got the "versions out of sync" notice. Took me a few minutes to find where to select the newest build from the dropdown. Could we tweak that to be more visible when there is an update available? Maybe...

      The look of true disappointment.

Everyone who remembers when shields were next to impossible to get because larimar asteroids virtually never spawned, raise your hands! Least we can FIND a Lukrah asteroid when we want one, even if it's return rate isn't that great.

      Re-Order or Re-Color Asteroids

Not really a big thing, but I constantly find myself going "Okay, I need green asteroids, where were they in the chart again?" to try and figure out where a specific type of asteroid is in relation to the star (aka, where it is in the heat map). Might make things a bit more intuitive if the...

I don't do single player at all, actually. Nice try though.

Starmade Forge - Starmade comes to Mobile!

Actually yeah, I'd be willing to help test. I've done 3d rendering app testing before (I was a tester for my favorite 3D modelling software's app), and I happen to run on Android now.
