Its also save to delete SIMULATION_STATE.sim i got told ... and then restart the game to see if it works again .
If it isnt then the universe is probably broken for good.
yes ... there is a file broken that causes the load of the universe to fail. if you do not need the universe anymore you could continue with a new one ofcourse as a workaround.

i couldnt find the port setting in the server config ... not even sure if it was in there
i couldnt find a way to change the singleplayer game port :/
to start a singleplayer game on a different port you have to first start a dedicated server on your system and change the port of it there...
My bad .. misunderstanding on my part.
Your game is installed here (check on your own launcher for the Path)
make sure the world you want to play is in that paths "server-database" folder as a sub folder
Start Starmade
Choose the broken world in the local games
start and crash that one
then go to your starmade install path and take a look at the logs folder
there should be a logstarmade.0.log file with the current time of the crash
drag and drop that file into a posting here
from the logfile
[2016-11-30 22:51:00] java.io.IOException: Cannot run program "javaw" (in directory "."): CreateProcess error=5, Access is denied

any access restrictions apllied to the C drive ? or a Security software...
The answer from development states that the chatchannels.tag file is broken.
Are you sure you did remove that one and then did restart the Client and tried to reload the affected world ?
those are game entities (ships, stations etc.)
then please add the whole logfile of the last try (dont copy paste the content, just add the whole file) and i ask Andy
Goto your starmade s install folder and open up server-database/"yourworld name"
delete chatchannels.tag and try again
if it isnt working
delete TRADING.tag and try again
if it isnt working
delete catalog.cat and try again (this will delete the owner ship of blueprints and may reset the enemy...
The Logfile ends in midair without logging an actual error.
everything else looks good as far as i can see
except the Quadro GPU isnt really supported and its driver adapter looks weird in the logfile
(both of which doesnt have to cause the problem however)
you are running into the same problem...
there should be a logstarmade.0.log named file in the logs folder of the starmade install
please add that file to an answer here
and what are your PCs specifications ?
what OS are you using ? Windows something i do assume ? (and not a 32bit version?)
wherever you did place the Launcher .. its content should look like this
after starting starmade-launcher.exe it should show up 3 times in the process list of task-manager
you could redownload the whole thing...
