My take on a new ship building/spawning system

You know, the server Tethys does not allow the catalog, so ships actually are prized for their costs and the effort they take to build. You should try it out. But yes, this is a pretty decent suggestion. Good thinking

Decrease the amount of shops/planets, make the rest larger

Eh, fuel is mirco managing and not many people like that.

Decrease the amount of shops/planets, make the rest larger

Pretty self explanatory. Instead of a bunch of little planets and shops, decrease the size and make like 4-8 planets and ~10 well stocked shops per system.

Starfleet - Still boldly going [No longer recruiting]

I have a mic I can borrow from my brother once in a while, is that alright? I mean, I know it isn't enough but I'm really excited to join this faction and I don't want to be denied because I do not have a microphone.

Handheld weapon modular building/customisation (Other decorative items) repost from old forum.

I like the idea of craft able armor. Why don't other people like it?

Handheld weapon modular building/customisation (Other decorative items) repost from old forum.

This thread is absolutely beautiful. I love the idea of the customization of weapons and spacesuits, this allows for whole new levels of gameplay - factions that sell small arms, exo skeletons, magnetic boots (So you could enter a ships gravity no matter the faction), jet packs... cloaking/radar...

Can you see the movement and position of ships?

What to expect in the future in terms of ship immersion?

I'm sure Schema is going to figure out some creative way to replace the core.

      Make the game harder

I see your point. But you could always catalog something, and I have been traveling a lot. That's pretty much all I do in Star made. I'm sure a ski lift operator would want his job to be a little more exciting.

      Make the game harder

I don't think any server is crazy enough to give AI titans. But very good point - servers can create their own AI vessels. This still does not solve how bad the AI are at fighting, however.

      Make the game harder

The biggest problem with Star made, (Or any voxel based game for that matter) is that once you've finished building a ship big enough to cover the goddamn sun, gave it a fancy-smancy interior, killed all the little isanths, ate a couple planets, is that there's absolutely nothing in hell to do...

      Is this game dead?

That's false. It lets me screw around my ship as it flies me indefinitely.

      A new prototype propulsion system

Schema's already working on warp effect/warpgates.

      dunno

      The Figurehead: Captain's log

No you don't. If you only have Warpgate A, and object A that is shot through warpgate A, object A ends up at a random location unless Warpgate A is connected to Warpgate B. In this case, Object A is another warpgate.

      The Figurehead: Captain's log

Only if you have a warpgate on the other side. If you shoot an object through a warpgate without a warpgate on the other side, it ends up in a random location.

      The Figurehead: Captain's log

The theory was that the other warpgate will end up at a random location which would *Hopefully* end up someplace better.

Sure. I'd love you have you. Anyways! Another entry: 6/29/4014 After the Great Disaster, I helped the people of Tethys start a new life.
