      Council voting has now closed!

Thing is, you only get 1 vote. That vote is just passed along if the first one you voted first got eliminated from running, so it's really only a problem if no one you voted for got in.

      BRING THE DISLIKE BUTTON BACK!

Could always just ignore it and let it die. Disagree was mostly used for people arguing with each other, so it basically lost most of it's value there.

Objectiveness is great and all, but, do you actually have some kind of opinions?

I don't believe the game even recognizes "inside" areas, there is just exposed faces and non-exposed faces. If the game had any clue on what was inside, we wouldn't have shield graphics leak through walls like it does. The only systems that even marginally benefit cubes is turn rate (which is...

Objectiveness is great and all, but, do you actually have some kind of opinions?

The moment you dictate anything, the game is no longer a sandbox. I can see no way to punish a brick that does not also punish other ships or is easily accounted and adapted into a basic cube.

      Restoring pirate ships to catalog

If you deleted a Blueprint ingame (on SP), I believe the game makes a backup in "exported", a sub folder of blueprints. You can use the Ship Catalog Manager to re-import BPs that way. Otherwise, for the Default pirates, there is a folder called "Blueprints-default" in the /starmade folder, you...

      The council propaganda thread

But he withdrew. A lot of people seemed to have missed that, though he does seem to have had a chance, given how often people thumbs up him regardless.

Option to highlight blocks of a certain type

There is sorta a system that does this; play around with the NumPad and the game will place little white dots (which appear through blocks). It cycles through systems and groups (Press a button till you get to "power" then press another to cycle to the group you want to check).

      Continuous Rotation "Rails"

Doesn't seem all that jerky to me?

      Rotating radar dish

Even then, I never realized how cluttered space used to be. Or maybe I did and just repressed it.

      Rotating radar dish

A little off topic, but holy shit there are a lot of planets in that video.

      What to do about hackers?

I thought all of those kinds of values were done serverside, as in there is no way to modify your own game and affect the server. You sure you don't just have an asshole admin? There are commands like /Invisible_mode and /give_weapon_beam_OP (not the exact command, but it is a multi-million...

Implemented Shield sharing via sliding rails

Might be easier to just fix it to Rails disable BobbyAI the same as if someone was inside the core, but even then it doesn't sound future proof because eventually NPCs will be able to enter cores. All I know is I want pop out, logic fired guns to derp around with for RP, but I don't want Fix...

Implemented Shield sharing via sliding rails

The only question/concern I have is if things attached Via rails can operate a BobbyAI. They have their own core, so count as a separate entity, which is a concern to me, one of those who like to build fix docking weapons over turrets or onboard weapons.

Hidden Mic. block - A new way to do recon on someone

Considering the game can't filter chats based on distance (else we would have a "local" chat), it would probably be a lot of work to implement, and there isn't really a gain to it. It could easily be found and destroyed since Cloakers do not work without a pilot in the ship, and the only...

      How do turrets work?

Rotating BobbyAI does not affect direction of firing, forwards is always decided by the core afaik. As for question 1 and 2, AI does not give a damn currently. I've noticed it fired at the host ship before, and it has even hit other turrets on the same ship (whether or not they did any damage...

      Shield vs Hull... Or?

Increasing the Data per block has a larger affect than some may thing, because that would be 1 or 2 more bytes per block, in a game where people build ships with millions of blocks. It makes quite the impact. And I find it is better to leave suggestions alone, there is rarely a reason to delete...

      Shield vs Hull... Or?

Lower damage was already suggested, but is unlikely to be done to the vanilla configs, mainly due to the possibility of a 2 block, 0 Damage weapon. The proposed revamp for Hulls is the Shipwide Armour Migration system thingie. Basically, having more hull on your ship applies a reduction to...

      Shield vs Hull... Or?

The problem with hull being paper is related to the fact that weapons scale as you add more, and hull does not. Shields do scale though, which is why everyone relies on shields, rather than the static armoured hulls. I would prefer to see Hull be a standalone choice for defenses, rather than...

      Shield vs Hull... Or?

I recall hearing something similar to this before, was a while ago, but still been considered I think. My only question is how well does it translate between Fighters and Titans? Fighters are most often the ships coated in Advanced Armour, because at their size, it can still make a difference...

Can this game be "Played" actually?

I feel like the stations need a bit of cleaning up and proper-tizing, why hasn't stuff like that been fixed?
