      Designated Power

No, I said I was against that because it ruined fixed turrets. They asked why people would use fixed turrets. I listed reasons why people would use them. When I use them, I keep them fairly small for exactly that reason. Just because you assume I use them all doesn't mean I do. You know...

      Power Generator needed!

Just be aware that the devs have already tired to stop people from doing that once, and odds are they will do so again in the future. They killed docked reactors because the lag and server load they create is bad for the game. These are exactly the same thing just with a new face on them. So...

      Designated Power

Well crossing threads here, but I never said I used them, I just explained what the appeal for a fixed turret was. Nice try though.

      Power Generator needed!

Aux Power blocks aren't quite warhead quality in their explosiveness, as long as you keep them in small groups. Thing is, they act like capacitors in that they are more efficient in large groups. So it becomes a tradeoff, small groups won't actually self destruct if hit once, but don't...

      Designated Power

Its got more to do with protecting the ship from things like EMP weapons. Few people build a ship with enough energy leeway to be able to withstand a full on EMP attack, and relatively few people go to the trouble to make fully self powered turrets. So, they build a ship that is on the razor's...

      Power Generator needed!

You've hit the soft cap. The only options you have are energy inefficient mass placement of generator blocks, or to use Auxiliary Power blocks. This mechanic is in place specifically to stop people from making super large ships. Previously you could build docked reactors to supplement your...

      Remove Weapon Firing Arcs

The difference is that logic fired weapons other than missile/missile aren't worth using as is, even on a fighter. Yeah, but difference is a couple hundred weapon modules and a 2 million e/sec reactor are exponentially different scales. Couple hundred blocks of weapon detatching causes some...

      Designated Power

Just because you change the name of it doesn't make it different (although politically that has been the case, but I digress). Its a reactor. That you dock. Inside the ship. Its a docked reactor, just because you try to change the name doesn't change the fact that its a docked reactor. If...

      New Starmade Community!!!

Now you're just sounding sore. "Well fine, everybody who doesn't agree with me is banned from talking to me!" Not how this works, chief. If you want to make a public post trying to get people to come to you, find out that everybody either doesn't want to do it or already has something else...

      Starter Configs

I did, far as I can see the only time you mentioned asteroid respawn here was where you had it turned off in your "I think this is how the default should be" settings. Agree with that or not, thats how you left it, and that isn't really acceptable in my book. Especially since the only reason...

      Starter Configs

See, this right here means I would never want to be on Batavium's server. No asteroid respawn means the server is on a ticking clock to it's own ugly death right from the instant it starts up. No respawn means finite resources. Which means the only way to play in the long run is to strip mine...

      Remove Weapon Firing Arcs

Tydeth beat me to it. Its a hybrid way of: A) Getting around the "Humans can only fire one weapon at a time" B) Allowing you to have a truly massive (relative to the ship its on) turret without spoiling the appearance of your ship C) Still retaining accuracy Basically, its the same as having a...

      Sexy Turret Competition

Large Heavy Turret Shell The empty shell for a turret I've been working on, inspired by a render I found on the internet... somewhere or another. I built it as an anti-capitol ship gun, but I emptied it out to put the shell up on CC for everybody to use as they see fit. I call it the Nope...

      New Starmade Community!!!

Just FYI, you sound like you're advertising the client more than anything else at this point. And at least my reaction to "Hey, try this amazing new thing, free for a limited time!" type things is "Okay, they're trying to do fake word of mouth advertising. I need to make it a point to never...

      Remove Weapon Firing Arcs

If anything, I'd like to see weapons with a larger firing arc so that fixed turrets are more useful.

      Designated Power

Please don't do this. We have worked so hard to get rid of docked reactors. Please just stop using them. They are bad for the game, they cause horrible lag when they undock, please just stop using them. If later on we get things that will fix the lag when they're undocked? Great, use them...

What is the point of carriers?

Yup, they even flat out say when seeing a TIE fighter that "Its too small to have gotten here by itself" or something along those lines. TIEs are basically drones. Doesn't matter that one good hit kills them, they swarm in such large numbers that they still get the job done.
