The new AI Docking Rails are confusing me at the moment. How do you use the Pickup Rail, Shoot Off Rail, and Pickup Module? Also their textures are broken. XD
hmm we could use something easy for people to access like Discord or starmade's chat for communication. As for those that don't know how to setup a dev branch download just pop into Installation settings and change the install location and what branch you are using. :) I'd say the weekend...
lol if done right the dead unit sends that info to its faction AI's info pool. :) Now the real issue is this works under a couple of situations either the units remain consistent or they are ever changing and evolving. Lets say for sanity and server owner's sake we make it so the AI factions...
Yep just C on the rail(s) you want to send or receive cargo on, and V on the storages that you want to send or receive cargo to/from. Turn off the pull on one side and turn on the pull on the other and the cargo will go to the pulling entity. I've got my miner setup with some logic to...
I can't think of any games off hand that are remotely similar to that one but I'm sure there's a few around. If all else fails Schema could implement a low level learning AI that is faction specific and setup like your average RTS AI as the commander while pilot AIs learn how to use the ship...
This is one to avoid until you have a long list of cheap easily replaced things you can upgrade later. Fun to watch the massacres going on though from spawn. :P That said if you can handle the planning and the sanity needed to come back from being ground into dust over and over this one is the...
If not docked or docked to a station that doesn't have Homebase protection make sure the area around the ship or station in question is well defended. :)
lol I'm working on a prepackaged mining fleet station and all. :) That way all I have to do is deploy a mining station in a system I want to mine from and than have transport ships going back and forth between it and HQ. :) What I'm wanting to know is if the AI is going to be able to trigger...
It really depends on what you are looking for since that normally describes a lot of servers. Quiet servers like Aetherion and Fillecraft don't normally a lot of people but the ones they do have are most of the time willing to help out. As for larger servers I'm not sure since I'd have to check.
Just curious about the no more than 1 salvager computer on a ship rule at spawn. Does that also include docked entities that aren't meant to be undocked from the ship or treated as part of it? Like say I have a docked rotating salvager array with several copies of it linked together by docking...
lol my faction's HQ is in the same system as a Blue Giant. Nice note is to never build anything within the burn range of a star because it won't be there long.
