      hmm I wonder how small an AI Fleet Miner I can make and still have it able to hold 1 or 2 crew in as confined a space as possible? :) I figure if it is small enough we could spam a huge swarm of them and have mini jump drives on them so they can quickly get back to base. :)

      He's right you know since the game starts murdering itself somewhere between 500 and 1000 meters. Try scaling it down to under say 1km and you'll have more help on the matter. People have tried things over that and the game dies very easily at those levels.

      lol first thing I'm going to do is deploy a fleet of mining drones and make it so they redock to a main canister that jumps back to base once full with them.

      Yep but also with this idea it'd also account for both player and AI fleets because of the incoming AI factions or cases where a player wouldn't want to be logged in 24/7 to keep control of the fleet. This idea may be a tad early as you've said though but I figure talking about it now is better...

      hmm here's an idea for those that want or don't want a per flagship limit fleet size. The main reason for these is to satisfy both sides in the debate of should they have limits or not. Well in this case they start off without any but the server admins can set them to whatever they like. :)...

      hmm here's an idea for those that want or don't want a per flagship limit fleet size. MAX_NUMBER_SHIPS_PER_FLAGSHIP = -1 (-1 or less is unlimited, 0 is no fleets, 1 or greater is number of ships per flagship not accounting for a ship of the fleet also being a flagship of it's own fleet)...

      Well technically there is a limit on AI simulations going on at one time so maybe making it so if there are too many AI controlled things in an area exceeding the current simulation cap the additional AI just stop functioning?

      Basically all this idea looks like to me is a lower damage version of the warhead that can be reused. Having a ship to ship energy blade would be interesting. :)

      lol you think you have got it bad, my faction on a server is parked next to a blue giant, about 2/3rds of the system is a death zone and if you got onto one of the planets nearest the sun you aren't getting off it. XD

      hmm well first test drone for the fleet update done just have to wait for it to hit so I can see what I've got to change. The main question is how are mining drones going to offload resources if they don't dock on their own? Just wondering since I'm sure a lot of us don't feel like manually...

      If they do put a limit in they should make it configurable. In the case of limits I'd say each Command Ship should be able to have X number of ships in its local fleet while the Command Ship can be part of another ship's Fleet and not affect that ship's fleet limit. :) So say it was set to...
