Quite true. Ive only seen fleets with different sized ships during server events/battles.
Small ships should be quite maneuverable and be able to dodge large wepon fire to SOME degree, since theyre liable to lose half their ship in one shot.
The best way to hide the faction modual is to hide it deep within the ships systems surrounded by blocks.
That way the ONLY way to steal or take over the ship is to blast it to pieces :P
Btw there ares ways to teleport between shisp without either one having to drop shields :)

If your flying it around, no way.
Only case would be if you leave it drifting about, but then it desrvese to get stolen : )
Its just a balancing factor, although I see why youd find it anoying.
Just think about what happens when you have to manualy take a shuttle over..... your a potiential one-shot for any ship (especialy cloaked) within range... who could then go and take your ship. Ive seen it happen.

Im fine with having multiple teleporters per ship (Itd be useful) but there should be some sort of drawback to balance it.
Increased energy, server config options, Increased cooldown time etc. It doesnt have to be much.

I guess one way to test this:
hook up different computers with the various groups to a ship,
puta ton of power moduals down, charge it to full, remove the power genertators then test and reccord the power consumptions upon firing ^_^
I thought only large beam and cannon arrays got a % punishment per extra group?
Why would missile groups be penalized by the other groups connected to the computer (ignoring lag-array builds built to crash servers)
I have a missile-ion one with over 200 missiles per volley ^_^
I would suggest lots of low powered ones, with a couple of more higher-powered ones
Spreading the total firepower thoughout multiple missiles might be your best bit (so if any hit they'll do decent damage)
One of the reasons:
Theres little incentive to pvp and the rewards for winning are generally quite low.
All the stuff worth raiding would be stored at their invulnerable base.
There also needs to be SOMETHING to fight over.

Logged back into my Single player world to continue work on a project of mine, however i found that 2 of the docked reactors were no longer working........
Upon closer inspection a cubic 'chunk' of the docked reactors had disappeared (off to who knows where).
All reactors had been in perfect...
