      The games design doesn't seem coherent because its not finished. What schine basically seems to be doing is starting with each of the various aspects of what the game will be and building inward until they all meet into one complete game.

      More like cannon/pulse/explosive that doesn't suck is I think what he's going for. All we really need for this is for explosive to actually be explosive, and not just send damage into the void.

      Fighters being useless might be what was shown in that episode, but it sure wasn't what was shown in multiple instances in voyager and DS9.       Now see that could work, but instead of having it switch out the modules, it would be much easier to just have the AI be able to choose from a list of ships what best suits the situation.

      Beam coloring is a longstanding issue that is on the dev's list.... somewhere. I imagine we will eventually get a big update for all the weapons effects, doing things like adding an actual missile to missiles, scaling cannon and beam size to damage batter, Ect. Soontm.

      I basically agree with Lecic on this one. This would make dumb fire missiles pretty much useless, and make other missiles a good deal less useful. Not only that, but this would be an ENORMOUS nerf to armor. Pretty much any decent-sized cannon can go through several layers of advanced armor. But...
