Asking the admins to buff mining bonuses is the wrong answer. They went through a lot of work to make asteroids worth mining to just ruin them shortly after with the chunk update. The correct answer is for them to fix the ore counts or come out and tell us this is how they are planned to be.
Times have changed since then along with the game. The crafting mechanics we have now is far better than what they were when the originally did this. If nothing else, server owners should be able to configure their severs to give scrap or blocks. Pirate bases should always give blocks. You not...
Where do you find the models for these? The converted ships come out looking amazing.
Would you be able to do an Interdictor Class Cruiser from the KOTOR series with a length of 600m?
That is some pretty amazing work right there. Can't see where you can take this and how you build it into your base. Next time leave a few protection ships floating around your space for those pesky pirates.
Mining planets provided about the same amount of resources as they did before the update. Seems that the only change in resource yield was done to asteroids, which I am not a fan of. Asteroids were just made not useless and now Schine has made them useless again.
Without default prices, what would the AI factions have to go off of for prices? I haven't seen anything from the devs stating they were thinking about getting rid of it either.
You do realize that you would be able to set prices individually still, right? The set all by a % would benefit those of us who don't have an hour to set prices on every damn block within the game. Just to walk away and find all the prices reset when the server restarted.
But, there is a standard price. If you look in the server configs you will find;
"
SHOP_SELL_BUY_PRICES_UPPER_LIMIT = 1.5 //maximum of base price a shop will want depending on its stock (e.g. max 120 credits if the normal cost is 100)
SHOP_SELL_BUY_PRICES_LOWER_LIMIT = 0.5 //minimum of base...
The way it is set up now is that the planet sizes are based off of normal distribution and standard deviation. I.E. "if you set the mean size to 300 and the deviation to 250" 68.2% of all the planets will fall within 50-550 radius. Unfortunately a single player will most likely not be able to...
Look at the notes from update V0.19498 Slabs & New Blocks. Pretty sure that is the one where they stated they could increase the amount of block IDs.
"If necessary the internal size of blocks can be expanded from 3 to 4 bytes, effectively doubling block ids a few times, so don’t worry about...
