"I'm going to disregard your example that proves me wrong because it doesn't fit my highly specific, arbitrary rules that I designed to make myself look right"
alterintel seems to have been avoiding the past few threads like the plague, by the way. It'd be nice for him to provide his views and his side in full on here.
I've said it like, at least three times and I'll say it again:
Alterintel is a terrible moderator who refuses to even attempt to treat members fairly. He should be removed.
Quick note, I think it would be in your favor to exercise a bit of brevity with your posts. Page long arguments often get dismissed because of their (usually) unnecessary length and lack of concision.
If you use motherboard or no hull at all the benefit per mass for 100% efficiency becomes even more extreme. Advanced armor is next to totally useless so I don't see why you'd use it in a ship
Current meta there massively buffs LONGBOI ships, so it's really fucked one way or another
Optimally, there's no reason to have anything less than 100% efficiency, it's just that you need a bigger reactor period for your ship, that or a smaller array
Pretty sure every one of us plays, quite actively too. I'm on just about every day, and so is ash, Jake, red, and all the other big names in this discussion
I'm going to state the obvious and allow discussion to go based off of this.
Alterintel is proving to be by far the worst moderator I have seen on any forum I've ever touched in a decade. My reasoning for this is the repeated instances where he has attempted to silence certain members and then...
"I'm going to put more blocks on the ship and make it less efficient per block, that'll make it lighter and do the same thing!"
Read what you said again, slowly.
