This is just some babbling of myself. :)
Todays thought: AFK roleplay faction rules.
It came to my attention, that a very low playerbase needs rules that basically let people interact if they are not online at the same time.
For example elaborated trade rules....
Okay one last thought: If you take the signs away, and the viewer knows the names of all sections, how can he make them out just by looking at the station? Exactly, if you take the signs away the details are not enough to tell apart wether or not I am looking at the habitation or the or the...
So for a perfect design I would make one detail on each quarter, so the viewer can tell each quarter apart just by looking at them. The details dont need to clearly tell the viewer what each quarter is about. You still need the signs to finally identify the purpose, but you can tell apart the...
And dont get me wrong for a freetime project this is perfectly fine. Just wanted to let you know of the principle: "if you need a sign to identify the room, the room is badly designed (e.g. undistinguishable captain's office and first-mate office, so the viewer needs to read the sign in any case...
Yes we talk about the same signs. And you allready said it: more effort needed to make them unique. In the end its a personal prefference choice, because making each quarter individual is too much effort. A designer that works on such stuff would then actively say "hey this would have taken too...
Hey man, just looked at your station again. The big text like "techinc and engineering section" at the station's sides are looking allright. If you want to you should try to make it reconisable by objects instead of text. Even though I can imagine that this would not really be possible...Maybe a...
In violation of our regulated perimeter laws a patrol craft has been sent over to board your ship and control your idendification. Please obey the commands of the patrol officer and no harm will be dealt. If your ship doesn't allow docking we want you to step out of your vessel and fly over into...
Or there could be sprite anchor blocks for a hologram, that then calculate it in real time... Just place around 20 on every edge of your ship (limitted number) and a hologram gets projected in realtime from the computer.
The basic problem are players that are not familliar with RP.
A solo player roleplay faction, that wants to share the roleplay with other factions, needs to make standards that other players can orient on. There must be a way that the new players dont need to visit the forum. But I guess its so...
Hey you could add some links to up to date pvp ships for each size class (<5k, 10k, 100k, +100k) (maybe 3 ships for each class). And explain why they are good right now in the current meta. But don't ask me I have no clue about such stuff. :D
vulnerability on weekends:
this only means that I can't make a station and will have a nomad style on your server - maybe I have a hidden station somewhere in the void but honestly I doubt it, because I rather have a mobile base than risking being found one day
And no one can be online 24 7 to...
Yeah if they supported it correctly it would work. For example with giving (maintaining after getting suggestions from player made configs) like 4 different main configs, one for pvp one for lets say...creative, one for pvp version 2 and a 4th one idk.
There are not alot of Shine members interacting in the forums, they all use the Discord chat.
On the one hand team Shine doesn't like if people talk rude on the forums - and ultimately left it in favour of discord, on the other hand they didn't had the guts to moderate them in a strict way.
So here I am again.
Let's get it straight if I play a roleplay faction on a server:
Neutral Factions get a standardised hail message when they approach my homebase:
A: "Permission denied to stay in the 2km perimeter of station Delta Samplename with ships bigger than 2k mass. Please dock your...
Yeah if you need stats for pvp its true. If you don't really care for battle performance and more for questions like "do 3 of this 40m long ships fit into my station's hangar", this interiour or systems first thing is really irrelevant.
Regarding your latest entry: I am one of the hull first builders, that only roughly outlines the interiours requirements. I strongly recommend to rephrase that part. Building half of the interiours first is only one approach, and not the best one. The best one is that, that fits the individual...
