      Prerelease v0.200.250

Except you can't do that in power 2.0 because that gun would take 90% of your powergen even with the powergen boost chamber.

      Prerelease v0.200.250

It suddenly feels like we are taking steps BACK... 1. no shield regen under fire was a thing that pre-dates the first big weapon update. 2. killing a core (in this case reactor core) is also a thing long in the past, and the whole system HP system was implemented to stop ships dying from just a...

      Prerelease v0.200.250

      1:1, as far as I have checked. 1 power/sec for 1 shield/sec.

      Prerelease v0.200.250

At current point, I had to conclude that with power 2.0, a ship of the same mass in the same hull can support about half the firepower it used to be able to. Re-fits of existing vessels are simply not viable until at least an attempt is made to fine-tune the values. I do not have the least idea...

      Prerelease v0.200.250

So... I'm disappointed. Very disappointed. The promise was, that under the new power system, a ship of the same size will still be able to properly function. My testing determined that was a lie. In no way can I create a reactor system in the same exact hull, that can power the same exact...

      Prerelease v0.200.250

How am I supposed to activate the scanner? Charges on left click but does nothing on right click or clicking left again when charged. Tried several setups, like the ore scanner, long range scanner, beefed up level 5 scanner... nothing noticable happened, couldn'T scan a system with long-range...

      A Legendary Ship.

Well, the Starmade version is based off the Bengal-Class Carrier from Star Citizen, which is based on a Wing Commander ship as the dev team is the same. So, technically, you're right :)

Vanguard-class Destroyer (formerly known as Warpath-class) - Cosmetic correction, new AMS

      - Placed missing standard armor blocks on exterior - Reduced number of AMS turrets from 20 to 12 to reduce collision calculations, replaced the remaining with Gmodism 's Banisher Compaq turrets as they have proven to be more effective than mine. - Minor change in the room in front of the core room

When was your golden age of StarMade?

For me the golden age was the golden age of EE and then Shattered Skies before the big names hopped off and the admins went batshit crazy. There were players to play with, the staff organized regular events, the meta wasn't so incredibly "no fun allowed" type, you actually could have fun playing...

A Solution To Flying Spaghetti Monsters

I usually love to argue with Zyrr, but goddamn this time I was had, and I have to agree. Yes, I do remember the Lovecraftian horror of trying to render homebases of larger factions on EE and SS... it was bad to a point I simply had to avoid some even in war because I instacrashed or my game...

A Solution To Flying Spaghetti Monsters

I can actually confirm that, I have encountered that issue at the first time I encountered Veilith's massive spaghetti bowl, and my FPS dropped under 5 when I looked at it. basicly, on a spaghettiboat, almost every single block is rendered on at least 4 sides, while on a conventional design...

I want to see the spaghetti meta.

Well, stealth on our Puri only went as far as jammer, and yea it had only basic hull and minimal shielding, everything was min-maxed to put the biggest f***ing missiles we could on that one. It filled a similar role tho; warp in, look for targets of opportunity, blast them, GTFO.

      [DEAD] Concord's End - A Starmade Adventure

I'm a trekkie. I'm used to episodic sci-fi. That said, if completing the full script for the whole season makes a more consistant plot and results in higher end quality, I'm willing to wait. Real question is, will the scriptwriter burn out if he tries to pull the whole thing off at once?

I want to see the spaghetti meta.

You know, when I was in CR, we actually used EVE Amarr ship hulls. Punisher, Apoc, Oracle, Dragoon, Purifier (which was even a stealth bomber lol), and they worked just fine. We knew how to fill them with good systems.

StarMade Dev Blog 17 November 2017

Just to clarify things here... how would the shielding radius and shield center position even be calculated and how would number of modules/placement affect it?

StarMade Dev Blog 17 November 2017

A effective way to counter spaghetti ships would be forcing the break-off mechanic, and a proximity detonator for missiles (so they don't actually have to impact, just come within, say, 5 blocks range of any block on a ship) with as little lag as possible. This way both spaghetti and chandelier...

      Schine engine VS Unity

Unity has very poor physical simulation. You have to heavily mod the engine to let it have any sort of proper collision detection and clipping prohibition. You can clearly see that when playing any Unity based game with a building element. It's mostly for the looks, and if you thought Starmade...

      PvP Anti-Player Research

For the sake of maximized power efficiency, 50 well made 10K drones would be your best bet, as that's around the biggest size you can get away with without using too much space for reactors/aux power. But for a 500K ship, I pretty much agree with MrFURB on defense, but also on the fact it's not...

      MicroMade - Modded StarMade

If it was just about easy construction, and fun to pilot, then Minimade's mass limit would be plenty enough - 3K allows for a lot higher versatility and more detail while still easy to produce and fun to fly, but I already went there, and not gonna go there again. In all due honesty, if Minimade...
