      I like this idea a lot. The "parking brake" idea is actually quite sound because, from an rp view, you need autopilot. Perhaps not while you are actually flying, but you're not going to sit in the pilot chair 24/7 making tiny tweaks with the maneuvering systems to keep the ship in one place...
