Usually, i just build a sort of skeleton out of reactors on the interior hull of my ship...if necessary, i'll have multiples that are one block apart but in general thats my strategy.

If you havent played, you specify the number of symmetries and it places the object evenly that number of times around the axis of symmetry.
I'm not quite sure I understand what you mean by rotational symmetry. Do you mean it creates a circle or something? or is it similar to the Mirror Cubes option?

Specificity is a huge help when it comes to identifying issues. I learned this really fast when i started learning Code. If you know exactly what needs to be changed, and where it is, its very simple; as opposed to having to search the entire game for that one line that is wrong.
Well since it's just a shuttle, it likely would be restricted to personnel transport and not combat or freight transfer. Shields would be a good idea though.
