      I have Mac with a AMD Radeon HD 6970M 2048 MB. I think the machine is pretty quick with 32GB of RAM. Well it won't do plumes anymore. Says my video card does support it. Well it used to up until the point that we got engine plumes. Any ideas?

      Any idea how to avoid the above error? I was happily building a station on a planet on my single player galaxy, and all of a sudden I get "To prevent building exploitation, you cannot paste close to any structure that is not docked to this one." I am using my own 7x7 pallet to paste segments.

      I was thinking the same thing. And/Or the ability to create a camera order for scrolling through camera views. It would take as long to get docking cameras if you could assign a camera scrolling order.

      Have thought this too especially about turret placement although I had thought maybe building the ability choose a BP in "create docking". Your idea though, is better because it fits gameplay as a mechanic of maintenance.

      I think the notion of scanning is fundamental and should be automation capable. Perhaps deficiency is in the cloaking and jamming systems. I haven't worked with these systems much but I imagine they are dependent on mass and require progressively larger amounts of power to hide larger objects...

      is there a setting I'm missing for the display module? Every time I leave a section of my ship, all the screens go gray. I have to fly away and come back to get them to come back on.

      I am using the default textures only. Deleting the texture folder and repairing the install seems to have done the trick. I appreciate the advice though. I thought all that stuff would be atomically updated when new version are installed. Still missing the colored sectors of space...

      After a difficult couple of weeks with logic and rails refusing to work, lots of null point errors, and sector backgrounds disappearing, I did a reinstall and now all my textures have gone crazy. Any clues on how repair the texture database? Any ideas why logic and rails just quit working...

      That's not necessarily true. You can swap different rails not just orientation.

      Should I get an error if Warp Gates are too far apart? I have not had any luck getting my Warp Gates to connect properly. I just built a new pair about 5 solar systems apart and I can't seem to make them connect.
