ya, the last time i played i would save the blueprint with temporary thrusters, then spawn a bajillion turrets, then get in each one, fly it over and dock it to the ship, then remove the thrusters. super tedious
itll take some work and use of your brain, but once you get an automated factory system going itll be pretty easy to make whatever you need. and very satisfying that you build it and made it work.
still trying to figure this out. also really want to disable physics for asteroids because my miners run into them and have issues mining when the roids are moving.
nevermind. fixed it. i was editing the server.cfg in steamapps/common/starmade instead of the one in appdata/roaming/starmade
i used to always change the server.cfg to set max build area in adv build mode from default 10 to 50. since the fleet update that has no effect, in the game its still 10 no matter what. is server.cfg obsolete?
i noticed this behavior as well when i was trying to attach pickup rails to a platform that is docked to the mother ship. the coords for the pickup point were 59,20,9. (in relation to the platform) but when i hit "carrier recall" the ship went to 59,20,9 in relation to the mother ship itself...

you could even take it a step further and activate the process by docking your ship in the first place. then the station equips it with whatever, then you take off.
ok, so apparently my registry account wasnt linked to my steam account and when i tried to login with the new launcher id hit "login" then the window would disappear and nothing would happen. i then linked my registry to my steam account and now it works.
dont even bother with overdrive. pierce used 10% of my ships power vs overdrive using 60%. and OD only did a tiny bit more damage.

thanks for the insight guys. i did find something interesting while testing hull vs adv. pierce does more damage to advanced armor than punch does. but they do equal damage to hull. i tested with a 60missile/60effect array. pierce is on the right, punch on the left.

Am i missing something? whats the point of using advanced armor instead of hull? from what i can gather the block itself is only 3 1/3 times stronger but it weighs 5 times more and costs like FORTY times more. why not use 5 layers of hull? it'd weigh the same and cost WAY less. and the 5 hull...
