Thing is... I'm pretty sure that the PD turrets were still on that ship and hadn't been shot out. I think that it may have glitched for the turrets. Also, what leanson said in the previous post.I didn't realize it either when I was making it, but it seems like as long as the weapon can reach the distance to the enemy, and both the enemy and the weapon are loaded in, it will fire. The fact that it hit was a little bit lucky in my weapon choice for it, at those ranges, any normal weapon really should miss unless you get super lucky, but because of it's large array of missile/beam's and you guys' failure to not equip the ships you brought to that specific battle with point defence arrays, it was able to hit very, very hard xD. It was also lucky that it chose the smallest ship of the bunch to attack (it would have wounded the other ones, but hitting the galacticus was really, really overkill) and it has now shown it's worth to at the very least me, and at the most, my faction. The future battles in sector will be preceded by battle out of sector. This will determine which contestant has to suffer operational and tactical disadvantages and be forced throughout the battle into adopting compromising solutions.
I do know that missile/beam shots are hard for AI to shoot down because they travel so fast, but it was traveling strait towards three ships, one of which was massive. The missiles most definitely were designed to be hard to be shot down. The reason I picked them was that they traveled quickly and were the only thing AI was guaranteed to hit with, but despite that there must have been a ~1km distance at which some of the missiles could have been shot down, (assuming point defense relizes that they're there, which is something I do not know) the turret that shot those missiles doesn't really spam missiles compared to some other ships, so, I don't know. I might be arguing a point that's pointless, because what's happened happened, but part of me want's to explain and test why it worked, instead of it just being something that did.you cannot defend with any point defense system missile beam missiles. kep would not be able nor did he see the missile that impacted him. As it comes down to faction battles, factions with defendable home bases will always have that buffer sectors around their base.
Satire and future purposes, this isn't *really* about Calderon or Odium in general. Now now jaas, it's not nice to spread rumors. The entirity of the Odium Pact is taking a hiatus to allow other factions to get up to speed and until an update fixing stale warfare. Should you wish to wake the dragon, we will most happily oblige.
xD Yeah, I even said this one in public chat, but I don't want to repeat it exactly, so I'll just be slightly cryptic/indirect about it here because I have nothing better to do.I know what jass is trying to do. Lol its a old play out of a nasty play book lol.
Understanding Leanson is understanding, danke.I don't blame him.

You guys really should know what I'm doing, it's what you guys are named for.

I know of 2 issues that affect Point Defense's ability to shoot down missiles;I do know that missile/beam shots are hard for AI to shoot down because they travel so fast, but it was traveling strait towards three ships, one of which was massive. That would 100% be the issue that occurred. That's an interesting issue.2) Missiles not rendering. I remember hearing that missiles fired from over a sector (or 2 maybe?) away don't get rendered by the receiving player, making them invisible (AI doesn't react to un-rendered objects either).
Yeah, I myself am not anti-odium, even though sometimes I have to act like it to represent my members.Lol just reassuring the standing Jaas. Odiums are like chevys.
SEs never stop SEing xDI know what your doing lol
Nope. Just intelligence, considering how I'm 'qualified.'So did you take over Thryn completely?
The one's with that spy who totally doesn't exist in our faction and we totally have no clue who is?Lol, admit it you liked my nefarious workings a couple of months ago. :D
Yeah, no. Closing it. We don't want them. I recommend Mandalore or Khanid Domain.Fairly sure it's still open :p
