    People will play the game regardless of whether a faction list is waved around in their face or not.

    Are you trying to say that the community is only made up of faction soldiers and everyone else doesn't count for anything?
    Did I say that.. no. The is many parts of this community. Those who play single player, and the who's plays online. Faction soldiers are about as useful as rock or dirt when their is no battles or conflict. As they don't build, mine, or keep their mouth shut on TS lol. I don't care if the faction list is made or not, it is not my idea but mega's. That I support and try to expand on. Because it's a good idea, I am welcome to hear and discuss any ideas people have that will accomplish the goal of increasing the amount of viable members in the community. What I don't accept is a do nothing attitude. I have ideas of my own, but i rather listen instead of talking.

    You are not the community. You do not speak for the community. You are one person. You have one opinion and it is worth no more than the opinion of anybody else. You are not special.

    I am stating that no aspect of the game should be promoted. Singleplayer and Multiplayer are both equally shown, because of the expectation that multiplayer be shown as in every other game in the last decade and a half. Anything beyond that is the job of the community at large - not of the developers, of the admins, of the moderators.

    There is no problem with how things already are.
    So basically your suggestion is nothing Azeriah. Unless you have solutions don't comment. We're attempting to discuss how to stir the pot and bring other smaller factions to the surface. Any faction IS free to choose whatever singular aspect they like. All we are suggesting is make tags like the server list website as in informative manner. To inform new players of what aspects of the game a faction focuses on. The same is done with the serverlist website
    We need ideas, less banter.

    The only thing that will increase the number of useful people in the community is heavily advertising the game.

    A "do nothing attitude" is perfectly fine if there is no problem in the first place.

    It wasn't negativity until you started flaming. I'm stating that there's no problem as things are. What you consider "progress" is not progress to everybody.

    yeah does sound like a threat. I think what should happen is some more advertising of the game and of all the servers. Not necessarily forcing war between war-hungry tyrants and large peaceful factions. Yes that will bring an influx of soldiers. No it will not last forever. Short term a large war would be good for popularity. Long term a war would be bad as it would bring about collateral damage and quite often large factions suffer due to a group of offensive fanatics intent on war, whatever the cost.

    Yes most people in this discussion do play on EE. And yes some of us have bothered to play on other servers, although each has their tastes. For some, there is never 'enough conflict' and some just want for politics to run its course.

    i think you should put personal distates to the side and think on the solution, i agree with Leason's comment before, where he said "we need ideas, not banter".

    I play on other servers lol, sometimes I use a server alt.

    There are less public factions and less activity on the faction thread.

    Very well stated markon, server advertising and maybe have the server owner make a central trade hub and diplomacy place. Give it a roleplay aspect?

    We need new factions or help those factions that need it to expand. I don't what what else you are saying.

    That will be up to the server owners, but a good idea, if it can involve the factions on the server. Good servers find ways to keep players.

    yeah good idea, also make a lot of clips regularly of massive faction achievements, e.g titans, great fleets, epic bases etc and release them regularly on social networks, make adverts via webs like viddyad.com for example: http://www.viddyad.com/watch/MQS5UNI8CHRAXPIB
    generally spread news EVERYWHERE about what's going on and people will notice. Also a central hub for public diplomacy and for example a massive base in a protected sector where faction leaders can meet to emphasise RP politics and diplomacy would be epic!!!!

    Dude!! Now that's a good expansion of an idea, that's great. RP politics and diplomacy would be so epic and crazy to. I am all in, I know AA is as well.     I like the idea on a tutorial that shows leaders tricks and steps on how to run a faction with the game and social interactions they need to thrive. New factions it seems make the same mistakes and need guidance. One of the steps can be to post their faction on the thread. This so works!

I was thinking on something truly massive, like something COLOSSAL which would have many levels and places for everything of all ages from like medieval to hyper modern with palaces, epic streets, shops, a sprawling city, massive warehouses and storehouses, shipyards, public docking.     I'm thinking a station where factions can add their own module would be epic. Just imagine the mix and match of all those factions colors, technologies and styles smashed into ZE diplomatic station! When there's a new faction they can just add their module to the mess!

    Don't really like the idea of a global faction list. It'd just boost big factions bigger while small factions are ignored.

    I do like the idea of a faction hub station in servers, tough.
