No it isn't about connecting both, as far as I think, this is about forcing those, who want to play on the server, to use g+ at least once.

if people want to join,well get yourself g+ (its free)

I dont get all this fuss about g+,you need g+ to comment on youtube,otherwise people cant reply to you,i see comments on my youtube but i cant reply to them,jeez whatever

if you have a youtube account then you have a G+ account. good thing about google is that they like everything connected

In my eyes, that's a bad thing. I like my data spread out across many different services, with no service able to collect all of it wihout tons of effort.

you can share your stuff with lots of people in starmade community where people will notice it instantly.

It makes things easier true, but at a price. Not money, but information about you. A price that cannot be refundet even if laws would require it to be so. Because of that, IMO the value of information, that somebody doesn't have, is next to infinite.

No, I don't think the illuminaty are real. But google is known for storing all data they can get about anyone and anything, and unless you tell them to do otherwise, they'll even put it into the range for the public without asking.
Some even went as far as to give google the nicknames "Datahydra" or "Datakraken".

For making an account there, google already wants to know some data.(I am excluding email addresses from this, as they are the means to contact the owner of the account, and since one can easily make proxy-email-addresses[I e.g. make a new email address for every account])

It is far easier than you think to analyze the information they gather about you and your behaviour and draw conclusions from that. This information can end up at paying customers or intelligence agencies.

Facebook allows you to pay to boost the exposure of a Post. That system has been instrumental in keeping Facebook popular of late. It connects businesses with customers in a targeted fashion. All Websites have revenue sources usually advertising, but this kind of thing has been really successful this year.
