Yeah, finding it somewhat dull atm too, exploring different flooring since I'm not sure about using the hull, but from what I can tell Destiny is mostly just 4, maybe 5 colours on the interior so there will have to be some extremely creative solutions here so it doesn't look just you know brown and depressing.
Unfortunately, some of the ceilings are literally just the exterior hull, which is why I'm just using brown armour for all the ceilings.
Been using pipes a bit more, really liked the aesthetic for the Destiny since you can see a bunch of pipe things all over the place there in certain rooms
Here's what I currently have planned for the crew quarters, but man oh man is it going to be CANCER to make them because of how they need to fit with the hull and such, since the hull is at such an angle and all. You may also notice the 2 block wide door leading into the room, so I might have to make a slimmer corridor which may help break up the interiors a bit and to make it easier to know where you are.
Also considering switching the floors to tekt, but idk I feel it would look a bit weird in places
Made several small power relay rooms, in an attempt to start filling those endless hallways with things
Tried getting to the new areas I added in astronaut mode but kept getting lost
Anyway here's another control room, let's say this one has something to do with the shields
And here are some exposed cables tying into the power couplings and shield emitters, one of those shield emitters I made that's on rails is right behind that wall of red for extra RP
More power coupling connected directly to the shield emitters, there's one behind this wall aswell

That'll be fun...
You should be able to make the ceilings not the exterior by just slapping on details or slabs on the exterior in those areas, or alternatively reposition the rooms themselves.
The girders, activation gates and blue conduits all have varied and useful tops which can be used to make a more diverse flooring as well.
Tried out some different flooring, unfortunately, though some of them looked nice because of how the ship is largely lit via underfloor lighting it ends up looking strange and out of place almost
Might use girders for the hallways though but not in any rooms
These could've worked but again the lights make them look strange
If only they were orange...
In conclusion, I think I will stick with the brown armour for most rooms
Made some claustrophobic hallways to get to the docking port at the front of the ship
Went for a more yellow colour scheme for these hallways

This has changed my life in ways I still cannot even begin to fathom...
[doublepost=1565018059][/doublepost]Look how solid it is in the nose
I will fill this whole thing with internals and stabiliser

Tried the monitors, unfortunate that that whole text thing pops up, but I also realised I could've just flipped the activation gate over so the ugly side faces down
So I'll use that for floors pretty much everywhere from now on, except hallways because it will mess up all the stairs and that is a headache I'd rather not have right now
[doublepost=1565028622,1565027692][/doublepost]Touched up the core room with some more lights, fans and consoles
Made an Asgard ship earlier today, just finished the exterior and I'm planning on doing the interior as well.
It's quite small, at only 174 meters long and 145 meters wide, most of the rear is dedicated to reactor chambers, shields, cannons and thrusters, but towards the front there's a decent amount of space for internals
[doublepost=1565115311,1565113642][/doublepost]I'm also working on the O'Neil, but it's slow going tbh, keep disagreeing whether or not I got the shape wrong.
Created an Anti-Replicator weapon
It doesn't really do anything except fire a push pulse thing, which has a resemblance to the energy wave the ARW has in the show
It does, however, seem like the O'Neil is too small atm, so I guess I'll have to make it larger
