Not exactly a planet, but why can't we have dyson spheres? or rather, dyson dodecahedrons ...
Because they would melt our computers? Not exactly a planet, but why can't we have dyson spheres? or rather, dyson dodecahedrons ...
"Desert" just refers to the type of terrain.I don't really understand the difference between desert planets, dead planets, and war-ravaged planets. Aren't those all desert planets caused by different things? They might have slightly varying levels of small amounts of flora and fauna, but the RNG will take care of those subtle differences while generating the planet, including adding a rare city or pyramid.)
I like all these ideasIce volcano worlds that have liquid methane or ammonia eruptions instead of lava. (Ice worlds with volcanoes)
Abandoned industrial worlds which are mostly mechanical worlds with desert sand-dunes half-burying the buildings and machinery. (mix industrial and desert biomes)
Do we have jungle worlds yet, where the flora is everywhere? (intense flora spawning)
Alien-infested variations with purple stuff or otherwise alien things meandering all over the place. Imagine a jungle world with purple tendrils randomly running throughout. (mixing other biomes with alien-style elements)
Infested/naturally-overrun industrial worlds, where the buildings and machinery are half-buried in flora. (mixing industrial with flora)
For Desert and dead planets I agree, but war ravaged to me sounds notably distinct. That said, I don't think it should be a unique category of planet in itself, more of a subcategory. For example for every planet type during generation check for civilisation, then inhabited or ruined.I don't really understand the difference between desert planets, dead planets, and war-ravaged planets. Pretty-much. When Role-play gets properly introduced, each planet needs more than one quality:For Desert and dead planets I agree, but war ravaged to me sounds notably distinct. Just need someone named the Mariner to create a base on a water world.Water worlds should be added too
Lol i would probably build a base under water and no one would ever find meJust need someone named the Mariner to create a base on a water world.
For things like Ring worlds (I'll also add O'Neil Cylinders etc to this) if you want them in the game it's as simple as building one and adding it to the community content section as a space station. It's partially what the section is there for.I'm going to say "no" on ring worlds, because I think we should keep copying things from other games to a minimum. Especially since ring worlds require an artificial creator... do we REALLY want to just flat out copy the ring worlds from Halo (minus the weapon bit)? Come on.
Volcanic planets are something I've experimented with in SP before. Here's a plate I turned into a volcanic plate. I'd love to seem them in vanilla.
It'd also be nice if lakes existed, and we could make boats to float on them. Perhaps have players (and creatures) phase through them at reduced speed, but have ships sit on top of it.
I think i have seen a living planet on a cartoon before though it kind of dies by an age old myth that we all passed around as kids about pop rock candy and rootbeer making your stomach explodeJust a small thought, but what if there was a planet in the game that was alive. An alien planet that can be physically killed, but may contain neat treasures, or could be befriended and built on. Possibly has some special features, like being AI controlled all the time, so It maybe even would have it's own defense mechanism of sorts. If you become on good grounds with it it will protect you and your base.
where did you find those :OHello,
As the owner of PlayerOne server. I find myself creating and destroying worlds all the time. In the name of SCIENCE!!!!
But I found this the other day and have looked for a reference to it on StarmadeDock and Google finding absolutely nothing.
I think this may very likely be the new planet structure. Check it out and let me know anything you know about it.
Theses pictures do not give this thing justice, I actually felt like I was on a planet.
I was working on the custom block types for my server and I needed a new world to test them in and this was at spawn.where did you find those :O
