How can the player council vote out a part of their popular vote?

Not really anything. Tomino suspects (as for why I can't figure that out for my life) that the entire PR stunt by Shine (kicking him off the council amongst other things) is to get Mushroomfleet community activity (and therefore ad revenue traffic) onto Starmade Dock. Which as stated by Duke is not a valid argument as the sites are not run by Shine...
So I thought I bring it up to see what staff members have to say to it, so I can then go and tell Tomino.

This to Tomato. You can't find it now because the thread was deleted, but almost everyone knew that there would be issues between him and other council members. I was honestly surprised that it lasted this long and thought it might have actually been working, but it appears not.

What you have heard from Tomato does not seem to fit what the rest have heard. You say he said he had time but wasnt allowed to sign the time table? We've all heard that his app was basically a lie/joke and he was busy with family and work, refusing to sign the time table. Some of the things you are saying he said also contradict what he has told other people, including stating that he didn't even want to be part of the council, he just did it to check his popularity (don't have the source, but I hear a lot of things).

If anything, the actions he's taken after he was removed is the exact reason he should not be in the council. It is a sheer lack of professionalism that make this whole thing so blown out of proportion. For Christ sake the first thing he did was a smear compaign on Twitter, defaming Schine and other council members. He's put himself into a spot where he CAN NOT get back in, and he knows this and is trying to use that to his advantage. He is also now hosting a mock site, http://starmadeduck.net/ You can't expect that to work out.

I just want to point out, starmadeduck.net was on request of me by a LONG time ago.

Tomino never asked them to leave. I was approached immediately after by Dalmont, Raiben and Saber left. It is because Tomino failed to communicate on a daily basis. The four of us had our privileges revoked on the server with no mention as to why, and Tomino only explained after the fact. Apparently we were cheating, by spawning in ships on what was advertised as a build server. The three of them were not going to be a part of a community where the admins couldn't police the server.

Just thought I would clear that up.

Well one day those three asked for changed and Tom gave them, also I believe it was in the survival era of the server also I believe is said it was a recording server not building.

And? His youtube also has 200k subs, yet this average view count is somewhere around 200. A big number does not impress me. Activity does. You need to join his G+ to be whitelisted, and the whitelist is not updated when a person leaves. If you check Starmade-servers you can see some numbers;
In the last 2 months, Mushroom fleet had a max of 25 players with a low of 7.
Redshift capped at 47 and kept a minimum of 18.
EE Hit a cap of 69 last month during it's reset, but normally seems to be around a high of 46 and a low of 21.

These are just the 2 big servers I know, there are also big servers like Ragnarok Galaxy and Feed up your Beast. Mushroom Fleet is in no way a "big" part. It's a sizable minority, just like all other big servers.


Tomato is not banned from the forums, only chat. He doesn't need an ambassador, because he does not care what we have to say here else he would be replying to these "what happened" posts or trying to do something. But no, he sits on his server and waits for people to come to him. I've honestly nothing to say to him because every time I've tried to be constructive I've been called a troll, and then the whole thread gets deleted for trolling posts. I have no problem with Mushroom fleet. Few people do. We have issues with the Tomato.

To my knowledge, you don't "update" the list. Player count is determined by the listing site, it sends a bot or a probe every 5 mins or so to check if a server is still up and takes a query of the players online. 25 a day means 25 unique users were detected during it's checks.

You don't update it for anything, besides descriptions, which I wasn't quoting.

There is some bleh-ness with the server list. Uptime and Votes (as well as average players) are used to calculate the rankings. Uptime can be reset with cash last I heard (was removed), and many servers incentize voting, so you could call it 'rigged' in that sense.

But then again, most servers dont get a truck ton of votes. I heard MF claims to have had something like 850 people voting for a admin? Throw those people at the server list and it should fold in on itself. It is mainly for advertising anyways.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that's because we've had a few too many Shroomites come flying out of nowhere claiming to be offended and stirring up a commotion. Does it have a point? Well it does the first time, I can see people getting uppity if it kept happening for the same reasons.

well the problem has been going on for a while and in general it is damaging to all our reputations and a whole lot of whats been said aganst us has been complete and utter bs with them either not understanding a single thing about us or completley making up false information about us and it is upsetting to see people lie and slander a community you are a part of and it can be pretty damaging to our "reputations" i find myself particulary insulted because mushroomfleet is a pretty good comunity in my opinion

I've have those admins stripped of their rights and kicked right on out of my server.

That's the operative phrase. It's just your opinion. People hold other opinions. You're going to have to reconcile that due to the actions of tomino, some people are going to hold a negative opinion of your community.
