UCIV - Small Ships Pack

UCIV - Small Ships Pack v1.0

    Game version
    v.201.105
    v1.0: Initial Release
Hello there! Jim here and with some Small Ships for everyone. [Probably more later]

In this content, I will be showing off how I created Effective Systems in very small ships such as drones or fighters. At least, I think they are. Featuring Ship Reactor Chambers with varying focuses, varying stats. And with the Weapons Update [Dev Build], Some of these ships could even take down much larger ships than it's own -- a Corvette or could even damage a Cruiser. Which could probably mean that these are more than capable to fight. At least, for sure, in PVE... cause that one is tested, While also remain to be relevant in my RP universe.

Starting off with a MK-1 UCIV - Drone:
    UCIV - (Terran Division) - Drone v1.0.jpg

Standard Issue Drone of the Union Coalition of Interstellar Vanguards. This small [Mass: 30], one/two man shuttle is used mostly for basic transportation across larger ships, especially if their transporters failed. Could also be used to land in planets.

The Design was partly inspired from the Shuttles from Star Trek.

Featuring a Lvl 1 Reactor. And despite its size, it has three basic reactor Chambers: Recon, FTL and Mobility.

This Drone does not have any shield or weapon blocks due to it's obvious lack of space, this ship however, should be fast enough to fly away from trouble. [Thrust to Mass Ratio: 1.8]

    UCIV - (Terran Division) - Drone - Salvager v1.0.jpg
Right here is a variant of the Drone -- MK 1 Coven. Trading Corp. - Salvage Drone:

Featuring basically the same stats as the other drone above. However, this comes with a 5-module Salvage System.

In Lore, this ships belongs to the Coven. Trading Corp Faction as Introduced here. Bearing their Orange-Grey Color Scheme.
Originating from the Planet of Coventina, The Coven. Trading Corp. [or CTC], is responsible for the majority of trades from across the sector, maintaining Stable Economy from across planets and factions. Run by a race, who are masters with entrepreneurship constantly being attacked by their greatest nemesis: the Pirates. Each of their primary Cargo Ships contains at least thousands or even millions worth of cargo of varying resources and prices. And as a result, became a magnet for trouble.

As their response, a new Corvette has been built and deployed to serve one purpose: Defend their Transports and Destroy Pirates.
    UCIV - (Terran Division) - Shuttle 2 v1.0.jpg

Next, we have here a larger MK-2 Shuttle. 48.3 in Mass, this 3-5-Man Shuttle is commonly used in much longer travel distances: Recon, Exploration other than just being a nice mode of Transportation.

Just to fit in UCIV Nora Delta's Hangar, it's wings fold Remotely In-Ship:
The Cannon-Cannon guns on the wings are also remotely Fired via Wireless Logic Blocks -- It's not very effective, but I think it's cool.

Also having a Lvl 1 Reactor, This ship uses 2 Reactor Chambers: Namely Recon and FTL. While the main focus being on the FTL Chamber.

Like the Drone, this ship does not offer shields. However, it's 1.6 Thrust-to-Mass Ratio should help you get around places. The Ship does have a weapon though: Missile-Missile or the "Bomb" [4 Modules Total], the first in this Pack that can actually damage a ship, even larger than it's own -- despite it's weapon size.

    UCIV - (Terran Division) - Shuttle 2 - Recon v1.0.jpg

A Variant of the Shuttle -- MK-2 Recon.

Other than it's cool Dark-Grey Finish, It doesn't have much new features to be introduced. The Re-paint does, however fit it's Recon Role.

UCIV - (Terran Division) - Light Fighter v1.0.jpg

More on the Fighter Class -- MK-3 UCIV - Light Fighter.

Partly a Support Fighter, the primary purpose of this ship is to become the Primary Interceptor of the more, military-side of the Terran Division. While also makes a good Starter Ship! [374 in Mass]

The overall design was partly based on various ships that can be seen on Star Wars, while mixing them with the UCIV's Build Style and Color Scheme, featuring White, Grey and Blue. Also, I think the Front Lights [Beacon] looked cool. [In-ship Remote Controlled]

With a much powerful reactor, Lvl 3, this ship features three Chambers: FTL, Defense and Mobility.

Compared to the previous ships, this Fighter offers Shields [Capacity: 11,250 || Recharge: 750/Sec]. And a Primary Weapon being a Cannon-Cannon [100 Total Modules]. I could add a bit more in a later update.. perhaps a Missile or two.

Now the reason why this would make a good Starter Ship is because it also have a Salvage System, offering 50 Modules in Total in a way they are most effective. In addition, has an Astrotech Repair System of the same size.

While already having Weapons and Shields, this ship sure can move... featuring 2.5 Thrust to Mass Ratio [Thrust: 1,020]

UCIV - (Terran Division) - Light Fighter - Starter Ship v1.0.jpg

    A Variant: MK-3 - "Pirate" - Light Fighter.

This is what happens when some Pirates managed to take UCIV Material, a cool red-repaint!

Also, given that this is good as a starter ship, you might wanna start with style instead.

UCIV - (Terran Division) - Light Bomber v1.0.jpg

A Balance of a Heavy Fighter and a Light Bomber... but probably will be called "Bomber" anyway: MK-4 UCIV - Light Bomber.

As Suggested a few words ago, this is a Fighter/Bomber Hybrid. Again, on from the more, Military-Side of the UCIV. I think this is the first ship among the pack that can actually be used in direct combat. PVE or probably PVP, even! I mean, it should be large and powerful enough for actual combat. [Overall Mass going 761.1]

The Overall Design was inspired from the Y-Wing from Star Wars [of the same Role] it even has 2 AMS Turrets on board [2 Modules Total Each -- Up/Down]

With a Lvl 7 Reactor, this one right here has the following Reactor Chambers: FTL, Defense, and Mobility. As you may know, fighters are meant to be fast. Not only because it makes sense in terms of Fighters, but because of their Advantage in combat. That's why I Usually have Mobility Chambers even in much larger ships like these.

Shields for this Bomber is much powerful that the previous ones -- Having over 2,500 Recharge/Sec and up to 37,500 in Total Capacity. [100 Modules for both Recharge and Capacity] With Weapons that are more powerful, and the first to have the new Weapon Effect Systems: Featuring it's Primary Cannon-Cannon [120 Modules Total- Including Kinetic Effect], a Missile-Beam [Lock on] [120 Modules Total- Including EM Effect] and the powerful Missile-Missile Bomb [also 120 Modules Total- Including EM Effect]. It is also equipped with a Mine Layer [Proximity] -- I have no Idea what this is and how to use it... I'm currently studying and experimenting on it's use at the moment, so I might need to update this content a bit soon.

The Ship has a Thrust-to-Mass Ratio of: 2.0

UCIV - (Terran Division) - Light Bomber - Rebel v1.0.jpg

Speaking of Star Wars, Here's an Obvious Variant of the Light Bomber: MK-4 "Rebel" - Light Bomber.

From a less "Civilized" Faction, Obi-Tuw Keynobi commandeer a fleet of these bombers. Giving their small band of "Rebels" a New Hope in fighting their Oppressors...

...Could also be used as a personal Fighter.

[Note: I'm not trying to make a Star Wars Parody -- This is Legit Starguy1701 Lore -- They're just so alike]

    Bonus Ship + Lore!
    COP - MK-5 Fury - Assault Stealth Fighter v1.0.jpg

There is another Major Organization that lies on the Terran World, called the Confederation of Peace. Members of this confederation does not have the same Ideology with the more popular and intergalactic UCIV. Originated on the northern parts of the planet [Europe or Russia]. While the Coalition does maintain peace across the sector, which also focus on Exploration, Technology, Research [Both Biological and Technical], the Confederation solely focus on Combat and Defense. Basically, heavily militarized.

Using sophisticated Weapons and Technology, they are able to build ships capable of destroying any Foes that poses a threat to the world. Or anything that threatens the Terran people in General. What the UCIV cannot do in battle, the Confederation Can.

Their Latest Prototype is the MK-5 Fury, a hybrid of Fighter, Stealth, and Bomber. Is very expensive and can be a challenge to fly. Which makes it more sensible to only be operated by a highly trained Pilot. And with Training very specific for the Craft.

Due to the nature of the craft's Technology and it's Cost, Only Councilors have access to this Asset. Councilors, are high ranking Agents with special training for the advanced fighters. Officers of the Confederation. They have the power and command to lead their own Fleet and Battalions in their various operations. Though, their main purpose is to be the Spokesperson of the Terran World to negotiate peace with alien worlds, specially for the hostile factions. These peace meetings either end up with two worlds uniting with in agreement, or the other gets obliterated.

The Fury Returns. From the Pathetic All-Look "Sexy" Ship of the past that literally had less Thrust-to-Mass Ratio than this dude's Battle-cruiser. Taking his Advise though, I rebuilt the Ship in a much larger Scale. Introducing: The MK-5 CFP Fury - Assault Fighter.

Attacker, Defender, Stealth Bomber, Heavy Fighter or simply a Personal Fighter. This Ship have it all. A must to have a skilled Pilot, and With a much effective build that probably has the potential to be unstoppable. Hmm -- Though untested, I theorized that it can destroy larger ships, up to a corvette. Especially if it has a Wing-man. Probably give you guys an update when I do some testing later on...

As mentioned on my older Content, The Fury is based on an Old Video-game published by Microsoft Called Fury 3. A Game of my Childhood. Only this is a much larger version of my earlier build [685.9 in Mass], featuring the same Grey, Dark-grey, Black color scheme.

The Ship features a Lvl 10 Reactor, and with Stealth, FTL and Mobility Chambers. The Stealth Module being focused... on Strength 1 and Usage Duration 2 [20 Seconds], Complete with Anti-Lock-on, Stealth Jammer and Stealth Cloaker.

For it's Defensive, the Ship has a Shield Capacity of 25,000 and a recharge rate of 1,250 Per/Sec [50 and 100 Modules Respectively] And for the Offensive? The Ship features the Primary weapon being a Cannon-Cannon Rapid-Laser Fire [150 Modules Total- Including Kinetic Effect] and 3 Variants of Offensive Missiles: Missile-Beam [Lock-on] [120 Modules Total- Including EM Effect], Missile-Missile [Bomb] [120 Modules in Total - Including EM Effect] and Missile-Cannon [Swarm] [only 30 Modules - Including EM Effect]. In addition of a Mine Layer [Proximity] that I'm still trying to figure out. All that while remain it's decent Speed. With a Thrust-to-Mass Ratio of: 2.5 [Thrust: 1,924]

This Ship is very special to me. And so I added some more pictures:

Great resource, just minor nitpicks that might not be from the design, but rather a Starmade bugs. Cannon-cannon on MK-2 Shuttle doesn't fire (gives an error about logic loop protection). MK-3 UCIV seems like a very well balanced ship, not necessarily the best for a fighter wing, as it's focused more on being an all-around ship. I gave a separate review for fury before, not understanding that it carried a bomb (missile-missile), nor did I know it was based on Fury 3 game. Knowing this, Fury would deserve a better rating than I gave before as the looks are quite like in the original game, and systems are designed more for stealth-bomber style, it doesn't do well in fighter vs fighter -combat. Color variants for all ships are superb and descriptions rock!

    Thanks for your Review, @unelsson!

I understand that the weapons on the much smaller ships are kinda useless, kinda difficult to fix without having to go big, which kinda breaks the purpose of this pack. Gladly, we have the fighters and the bombers!

I do apologize if I had caused confusions with my other post, I suppose it is partly the fault of mine considering I haven't put much information to it as much as I did on my previous builds. I'll see to it to have that changed/updated as soon as i can :D

I'm glad you liked my Ships, I should be able to post more and better soon, especially with the reviews you and the others are giving. Thanks again for your review :D
