The Sparrow Light Fighter was custom built to be a support fighter for light capital ships that are not big enough to carry regular sized fighter/interceptors. It has since been replaced by the Lark MK3 for this purpose and it's poor combat effectiveness has this ship only seeing service as a private shuttle for higher ranking officials. This ship does have one redeeming feature as it is currently the fastest ship in the UCC fleet.
