ONS - Dolos Class Mining Vessel

    ONS - Dolos Class Mining Vessel v0.199.464

    This is a Retrofit of the Aries class Patrol Craft. As the Aries-class is meant to be a workhorse of my fleet, this is just one configuration of the vessel, that has been adapted to a secondary purpose. With that said, I have changed the exterior of the vessel, as well as added a salvaging lance to the underside of the hull. I have also opted to remove the main armament of the vessel, and replaced it with sensor arrays. I have also removed the missile turrets on the underside of the hull, to make room for the salvaging lance.






    What I have done to the activation of the salvaging computer, is instead of holding down the salvaging computer in the tool bar, I have hooked up a clock that can be activated, within the computer core/core room. Be aware though, once activated, it may take a couple of attempts at pressing the logic button to shut down the array, as lag could interfere, or the speed of the clock could interfere with the toggle button.

    The interior of the ship is the same as the Aries, however, the bridge has been lengthened into a command deck, with a viewing window near the bow of the ship. There are also system readouts at each bridge station, as well as readouts in main engineering. I even took the time to add two transporter pads, so that it would be easier for ship to ship, ship to station, and ship to planet transportation.

    In addition to the increased point defense turrets, I have also added a cargo pod that can be ejected, and replaced, with another, once the pod becomes filled. One thing though, if the cargo does not immediately transfer to the cargo pod, I believe checking the connects of the rail docker, within the cargo pod, or, the basic rail on the main ship, is the way to solve that minor issue.
