Drifting Ghost Ship, The Lost Shangri-La

    Stats and Pictures are of:
    Version 4: The Logical Nightmare
    • Massive Redesign of the interior as well as adding new docks/rails.
    • Massive reworking of all the logic systems.
    • Ship is even more darker. Flash lights are highly recommended.
    • Added a new Trash Disposal Room near the rear of the ship.
    • Added traps. Some are fatal.
    • Added a mini objective/adventure: Shutdown the AI Core. The Shangri-La now has an active jump inhibitor on board and its your job to deactivate the corrupted AI to regain safe passage through its space.
"Tales of an ancient floating ship meandering through the universe have been told ever since I was a boy. It's said that there's some kind of treasure trove of lost technology and loot aboard. But pay no heed to such tales. Reality is sometimes far more frightening then fiction."
    -Old Spacer

"I don't know nu'n bout no ghost ship... but I've heard "things" bout a junk heap that everyone avoids. Some kind of legendary ship that disappeared ages ago. They say its cursed or sum'ing"
    -Nameless Salvager

"That ship...It...I can still hear "their" sounds!"
    -Mad Pilot
The Lost Shangri-La is a massive space station designed to look like a derelict spaceship. One of the winning entries in the Abandoned Space Station Contest has returned with a massive beautification job and a brand new attraction! A Mini-Quest.

    QUEST: Shutdown the AI Core!

Upon encountering The Shangri-La's sector players will notice their jump drives are being drained at a pretty fast rate. The ship doesn't want you to leave. To stop this you must board the Shangri-La and reactivate its systems. Explore the ship and slowly bring life back to the vessel in order to purge the corrupted Core of its horrifying occupant in an "explosive" finish.

Should you attempt to flush the Ai core prematurely then the ship will deal with you and (more importantly) the ship you arrived in very harshly. Find the various secrets and hidden messages scattered around the ship to get the most out of the Shangri-La.

If you dont mind im gonna make this fly trough sun right into my enemies base.
The station overall is nice, needs a redo for the logic tho as it would seem parts of the quest logic are... well... fried to put it simply. Otherwise, awesome station.
the one derelict station you dont want to find!
What an iconic ship / station! - I've been playing the game for two full years at this point, but I explored this (the latest version) only recently, and I must say I'm blown away of how imaginative a StarMade creation this is. I'm so inspired to build something with a logic-based mini quest in this kind of "ghost ship" style. And also, I never thought that I will ever feel fear in a game like StarMade, but this can really give you the spooks! :D
I forgot how creepy this thing can be lol. I've been working on "repairing the damage" and turning on all the lights, as well as updates from the new patches to get it ready to be a ship when the power update comes out. This new version is AWESOME!
We're placing one of these near NASS Main's spawn for Halloween. It's that spook-tacular.
I'd like it if you'd hurry up on making the ship version
Love it! couldnt for the life of me find the aera to re engage the engines, but it was a lot of fun!
would be neat if you released her as a ship somehow.
