GYRUS VIRIDIS - Heavy Asteroid Miner

    GYRUS VIRIDIS - Heavy Asteroid Miner v1.3

    Game version
    0.199.646 (Classic systems)
    Allow me to introduce Gyrus Viridis, a high-performance asteroid mining jellyfish.

    The main goal of this design was to have a mining ship with a very large front surface without having a very large total volume and mass. And although you can easily find shorter and thus more maneuverable asteroid miners out there, mining power on this scale is rare. It can eat one of those bigger asteroids in literally one click of its two mining systems (so two clicks, but you can use them at the same time).

    Fun-fact about the name:
    "Gyrus" is the latin word for "circle", while "Viridis" means "green".
    (Because this mechanical space jellyfish has a green circle/disk for a head.)

    Have fun with it and please share your opinion!

    - Two world-devouring mining systems arranged in a double-layered, interlaced chessboard pattern;
    - A neat interior with some nice roleplay elements, some fun immersive content;
    - 460K storage capacity;

    - 9 powerful engine pods and a high thrust-mass ratio to allow rapid acceleration;
    - A 30% overdrive system that brings the ship up to a top speed of 156 m/s;
    - Two jumpdrives;

    - Engine glow lights that can be turned On/Off from the hotbar;
    - Decent USD airlocks (USD docking interfaces with long passageways towards the airlocks);
    - Four compact anti-missile turrets, etc.

    This salvager is pure awesome. 2 clicks to salvage an aestroid? Time to get all the money from a shop to pay for a supertitan!

    Thanks for the review, I'm glad my miner is appreciated. - Not to praise it too much, just for the sake of precision, it should be pointed out that it's actually capable of eating one of those very fat, 5-6K mass asteroids in 1 click. Because the mining system consists of two separate setups that could be triggered at once via logic. - By the way, this wouldn't be possible if it weren't for those long "power tentacles", because the mining system is made of two offset chessboards of 10-long salvage tubes, one behind the other, both overdriven via damage pulse, which consume A LOT of power, especially upon startup and when used at once.
